Continuing my series on France 1798 is this guide.
Here, I will show you how to get Lan and Victoria from France 1798.
Warning: This is not for the faint of heart or short of talent. This will take all your talent and test what you are made of.
Need:
1 Good Artillery General. I recommend Sophia as City-cracking (London, Stockholm) and Fort-cracking (the coastal fort opposite the Pas-de-Calais) are a big part of the job
2 of the following: Berthier, Poniatowski, Davout, Lannes. These are the Cavalry Generals with Geography. They must have 5* Cav and move for the job.
All the good items (movement, tents, Cuirass, Warhorse for Sophia, Napoleonic Code, EVERYTHING)
Guts of Steel
S&L willingness off the charts (really intense s&l ALL THE TIME)
So:
GB:
I Corps, denoted in Black (Sophia/Your Artillery General+Massena)
Use Sophia (too lazy to write out "Your Artillery General") on the Heavy Art. Enter the Channel, destroy the Fort. Bomb London as soon as you land and move to Southampton. The benefit of Sophia is that Forts suicide on her fast, and don't bully your troops in London. Build a double line inf and use that, not Massena, to march into London. Bomb Charles with Sophia. Send Massena to the factory and stable. After beating Charles and taking those (Turn 12+), send Sophia away to the Netherlands. Send Massena and 1 cav to Scotland, and a few troops to Ireland. It's OK to finish at turn 20-something.
East:
Only the IV, V, and VI Corps will cooperate before turn 20
II Corps, denoted in Blue (Poniatowski):
This can be Lannes or Davout if you don't have Poniatowski, but Geography+Assault art is a must.
Starting with Clermont's double heavy Cav, Ride along the route in the map until the village west of Moscow, then take Moscow (by 15), then Kiev, then Transylvania, then go back North.
This is crucial, as it ensures that your troops don't have to waste time fighting through, but you can send some running. Build troops from the village to take other objectives (Riga/Reval, east Ukraine, etc)
III Corps, denoted in Green (Davout):
This can be any of the 4, but it is harder to use Berthier due to lack of s/l. Give him double heavy Cav at Weilburg, take the Stable and Factory east of Berlin, then Danzig, then Berlin. Spam artillery to take Berlin and Ushakov and march on Sweden. Davout should join Desaix in freeing Poland and taking Vilnuis area, then go to Courland and Sweden. Also use spam for Prussian forts
IV Corps, denoted in Red (Desaix):
Munich->Vienna->East Austria->Poland->Vilnuis->Mop-up
V Corps, denoted in Gray(Dumouriez):
Weilburg->Munich->Vienna->Budapest->Lviv->Clujnapoca
VI Corps, denoted in Orange (Napoleon):
Klenau->Vienna->Budapest->Lviv->Clujnapoca
VII Corps, denoted in Purple (Moreau):
Weilburg->Brunswick->Hotze->Mop-up. Also side troops to Oldenburg
VIII Corps, denoted in Yellow (Sophia):
Leaves London for Netherlands, joined by 1 militia in case Amsterdam falls.
Then runs, along with Cavalry from the III Corps, to Stockholm
IX Corps, denoted in Pink (Marmont):
Sardinia->Naples->Palermo.
Sends side troops to mop-up Naples, Nelson, and the port of Rome.
Spain:
X Corps, denoted in Brownish-Red (Jourdan):
Same strategy as my original guide, but you use Jourdan here. Steal Zaragoza and the stable, take Porto first, don't count on Spain because they either starve or sit around , etc.
Maps explanation:
Thick line is the general, thin lines are extra troops.
