In this mission, once I capture New York Patton magically appears in Washington with a Super Tank! He causes some serious problems for me with his massive hits and obliterates all of my units. Even aircraft carrier spam has no effect on him. Does anyone have any tips for beating him? And for that matter, how to beat the entire mission because the Japanese always get wrecked by nukes and can't capture San Francisco.

I also have a serious problem with this mission I can beat him and take D.C but it takes almost all my rounds and I don't have enough rounds to take the other cities plus it takes everything to kill him.

Try to not kill the tank troops inside of Washington since Patton will spawn then. Attack D.C. only when you have 75% of your troops focused on him and send the other 25% to capture Edmonton. This mission is alot easier than it looks like.

Just capture the 2canadian cities then take new york. Leave a tank to defend new york while rest of your forces capture the american nuke city+Edmonton. After that wait till u have 2-3 nukes and bomb patton then keep making nukes and push to the west coast.

The key point here is to waste as little resources as possible because airpower and nuclear weapons are both incredibly potent this mission- particularly when it comes to New York & Washington D.C. Make sure to send the bulk of your forces through Denver, since central Canada is lightly defended and Edmonton can be easily captured by spawning ~3 field artillery from the city right next to it, and thus the troops will be better spent towards capturing San Fransisco.
And of course, don't forget to keep up the mot. infantry production throughout.

The tank in Washington leaves by itself the round after I take New York. But I will just ignore him and go straight for the nuclear base. Thanks for all the help

Just ignore him and go get the nuke. It is a waste of resource to build troops to fight him. You'd probably need 2 nukes to defeat him but that is much cheaper than sending troops. Anyway, I normally capture Washington before he spawns so I don't have this problem.

You capture it before he spawns? Tell me your secrets senpai No secret there. I just put Guderian on a tank and go there. I don't know how many rounds or what condition that makes him spawn but I have never seen him again since my second time on that campaign.

So, you gotta take Ottawa, the city with level 3 industry next to it, and when the allies stop coming to take Ottawa back go for NY with field artillery, maybe your battleship if you still have it, and once its empty send paratroopers to take it. Whilst your siege of NY takes place, send troops to the Nuclear Facility, I used my super tank and rocket artillery but you may need more units, motor infantry or armored cars will do. After you take the Facility, your gonna need to make nukes and take the Canadian city near Edmonton with a level 3 airfield. It takes 3 nukes to nuke the super tank to death and once that's gone send in paratroopers. Do the same thing with Edmonton but it will take 2 nukes instead, maybe one if you've already made contact. Your next and final two targets are Los Angeles and San Francisco. You need to take LA if you want San Fran, as its the only city within range of nuking San Fran. At this point I was past 30 turns and about to lose. You need not worry about attacking San Francisco, one nuke will do it, so send everything you can at LA. After taking LA, nuke SF and either send in paratroopers or a unit that is within capturing range.
