<-- Back to All campaign, conquest, empire and general list. This is the one where you're sandwiched between Genghis-Khans two armies. The north is lead by Genghis, the south by a blue horse archer general. If I try to break north my army loses too much strength there and is unable to break through to the cities. If I go south Genghis comes and bites my reserves and siege weapons in the back, leaving me unable to finish off the 2nd city. Any advice? I got Alex, Joan, Hannibal, Robin, Parachuti, Cleopatra, Huo, and Leondias (Who acts as meat shield due to how useless he is)

You have to defend on one side and attack the other to get to the base you are suppose to destroy. Due to how powerful Genghis is I defended the north and attacked the south. I say use all general expect Leonidas and Huo to attack the south and get to the bases. I first built a teutonic order than archers. Use them to help defend the north. Position your units like this A infantry can get past on the mountain side so put a infantry unit on the mountain. Archers can attack but don't use your melee units in the defending group to attack the enemy. <-- Back to All campaign, conquest, empire and general list.

I'm still struggling with this level. If someone else could help me. The 3 required buildings fall within 16 turns. My generals usually die near to win I trek across the Southern Mongolia territory. Any additional help would be nice! I am able to progress to empire age if that makes a difference, but I don't have enough coins or lit.

I've gotten to empire era, but I'm still trying to get Li Shimin to 3 stars so he can be of more use. I'd still like a small guide if anyone remembers this level, because the one above is not working for me.

Funny, sounds like you have better generals.

Wellcome to the real world :0) With some luck you can finish this level, but it makes not any difference. Next campaign will be more difficult than this one. So I recommend to build up your forces. Go to other mods of the game (EMPIRE AND CONQUEST), gather some medals, coins etc... hire Barbarossa and Saladin (and replace finaly Leonidas with Belisarius at least). Maybe even develop some of your generals. Hannibal for example - he can be useful for some distance. And then with new strengh try again...

His fire dragon is good enough for all campaigns even in Empire age. The problem again is the overall weakness of your team, in my opinion. But again it is up to you to decide :0)

I prefer tier 2 Shimin over tier 3 as he loses the splash damage, but in the name of progress I had to upgrade him.

I'll try again, but it seems like my generals die before they can work their magic. Also, I use generals aggressively, so that might be why.

Maybe I was underestimating my generals. This time I rushed them into battle killing every single unit possible. I won with 3 stars... Oops...

If I remember well, my strategy was to send my best generals to the north (!) and break the line there, while the Great Khan is preoccupied taking the base. Other generals help Barbarossa. Main aim is to destroy Jebe before he can damage the utmost southern fort (the other one is bearly defendable). Then the main task is to prevent Khan easily transport himself to the south, while your best generals try to do their job. With some luck your ally could contain him for a while too. But, again, strategy is strategy, but you need good staff to accomplish this level.
