I've been trying out Oil Crisis for some time now and I can't make it very far. I'm aware that there is a guide on how to do the mission, but I don't have the generals it recommends. I would like to know if the generals I have can be used to complete the mission and where and when to deploy them and on what unit I should deploy them. The generals I have are: Badoglio, Konev, Goring, Manstein, Eisenhower, Rommel, and Ozawa, all non-upgraded. (Extra note: I have all resource wonders and ion does 70 damage). Any recommendations would be great!

I did it with Govorov, Badoglio, Vasilevsku, Guderian, one Guderian's class EC with marshal rank and one Rommel's class EC, all resource wonders and lvl 1 ion cannon. The strategy is quite straightforward, only 2 tricks with taking allies' cities and protecting city with light infantry: load all your gens in starting troops (comando, heavy, super tank, field and rocket art), build one bomb, drop it to nearest alien base, than kill it with rocket art, while it continues to attack Ankara (so you won't get hurt). When Ankara falls, take it (it is attacked by one alien, so after killing gen city will stay empty for one turn). When need to defend it, buy there super tank and put in it last gen you have. Don't forget to spend all your free money to atomic bombs. Than proceed to Jerusalem, capture it, keep an eye on Medina, when it falls, take it the same way like Ankara. When there is only one alien left in Cairo, drop there 2 bombs and take it. You don't need to defend it as light infantry can live there for 3 turns, and city gives 70 gold a day plus while you own it, it don't produce aliens. Than kill alien base east from Medina with the troops, who are still alive and drop 2 bombs on last alien base.

What I've been trying to do is bomb the alien base in the south with nuke and swing down with main attack force and fight aliens there while making a defensive barrier in the north, but thanks!

The main goal here is to capture cities to prevent new aliens birth and produce bombs as fast as you can.
