I managed to take the first base, but I lose half my generals trying to get to the second base. I was able to get Bismarck through and he took out half its health before he died, but then I noticed a Korean objective general that I didn't see before. I have Bismarck 5 star, and the rest are 4 star, Nobunaga, Caesar, Alexander, Saladin, Barbarossa, Catherine.

So your in discovery age correct? I am in gunpowder and I still cannot advance in campaign my thing is to wait until you can upgrade generals and upgrade good desicive General skills

Also level 3 barbarossa I think. Might have been Catherine. I completed this mission 3 stars. Only mission In age 4 I have not finished is final navigator. Anyway, I tried again and again throwing all my troops to the west, to kill Yi-Sun-Shin and the final castle. Never quite succeeded. On my successful try I threw all my forces through the eastern ocean. I had to send 1 unit back south to defeat the first castle. oops. I eventually broke through and destroyed the final castle, under heavy enemy assault. I then had to go into the western sea to kill Yi-Sun-Shin, and ended up with almost no troops. So, this is doable without upgrading all your troops to age 5. but it IS very difficult. |

I just went west by sea and then up by sea. Landed woth some units to the west target base and then let them join the main force to the final north target base.

When i played I sent genghis, napoleon, saladin to the first base while the rest of my generals went up east to clear the units at sea.
After base was destroyed genghis, saladin, napoleon went to join the group on the east, land near the final base from the east to destroy it and yi-sin-sun who should be on the left a bit..
Got 2 star, had to retry later when my generals were stronger for 3 star

I think different approaches are possible, but Shingen in fact does nothing except famous "stay and die". At least Nobunaga and his officer try to help :0) Maybe it is reasonable work with him together - to send some troops with him or help him from shore...

Well I am bad at this game, just got another medal daily added so I have 8 now so I will get my generals up and try to play, I need Genghis Khan, Nobunaga,Saladin, and Li Shimin upgraded to 5 stars

I passed with one star, then a little later 2 stars. Saladin logistics I find is the best perk in this game. Level it up as much as possible. I have my best items with him always. kill that catapult first with saladin and some cannon you have. weaken troops with any other troop other than saladin and finish them off with him to keep his health up. leave the infantry general alone, he doesnt move. full out attack all generals (except cannon to destroy base) ont he archer and cannon in the sea. they are strong so be smart, use infantry and archers to kill archer general and surround cannon general. Other generals around yu-sun-shin are weak, careful of the horse general, he weakens attack. I then weaken yu-sun-shin with cannon a bit and used all generals to defeat. I land some generals to defeat the catapult so you are not as weak on attack in the sea. you will meet 2 fire dragon generals, one is weak with strong attack and other has lots of health. attack attack attack base and maybe you can get the archery building there.
basically, rush to land and kill that catapult to break the wall. clean up in there fast. rush the sea and kill that cannon and archer generals. go north and kill yu-sun-shin. kill catapult. go on land and attack base. totally ignore the east
tried a few times going east but fire dragons over there and generals are strong, didnt work for me.
just make smart moves and attacks and you will pass it.
