I really need help in completing this mission every attempt ends in failure tried the different tactics which was posted still couldn't win.

Hold for a turn or two. primary goal during this? Kill Columbus as quickly *Auto corrected* possible when he appears. I did this with Nobunaga and Moct. During this, and around turn 3-ish, I pushed the east with regular level 3 Aztec troops as cannon fodder (princesses are useful here...). Take the buildings that come before the top eastern OBJ, then take said OBJ (this counters the rifleman, nearby, who never move). While doing this, push westward from this area, taking most of the buildings on your way. Archers/a moderate arty are useful here, because you can target the HQ without actually going on dry land.
At least, this is what I did.

The way I did it was bum rush right up the middle, have my artillery general (Li Shimin) suicide bomb the pyramid in the top left while everyone else continued north and eventually across the sea tiles to get to that northeastern city. You'll probably need to use Moctezuma to defend your base. |

Columbus is priority one. |

I used Discovery age generals.
First, Nobunaga and Attila are to sail to the Carribean, my & AI Moctezuma march west with the cavalry while Saladin and Alexander make the crossing to Central America. Li Shimin defends Aztec base. I put Indira into a lvl 2 Treasury and Borte into the lvl 4 Barracks.
Next, spam Tercios west and northwards while everyone keeps doing their job.
Third, Nobunaga and Attila will hold Island 1 (with an Archery and Treasury on it) before moving to Island 2 when 1 is safe. Alexander takes the Archery and I put Li in it. Saladin blocks Columbus to the Northeast, preventing him from sailing and flanking him. Li ShiMin crosses when the Aztec camp is completely safe. The 2 Moctezumas cross via the Inca side when the base is safe.
Last, force your way northwards with your main force with Terio and crossbow spam if possible. Blow up the southernmost Ballista tower and send most of your generals to exploit the hole. Li ShiMin is your best bet at blowing up Tenochtitlan. Spam whatever you can at the Cuban Tercio and vióla, a 3-star win with time to spare.
Note: Nobunaga has Leadership at max, Attila has Braveness at max, Sladin has Logistics at lvl 5 and Moctezuma's Cure Master & Leadership are at lvl 5.

So I've been playing it a few times, and each time I get swarmed by the Tercios. I try to push up, but there's always a huge zerg rush on my base, or I meet the huge archer mass. I recently got Nobunaga, so now my roster is; Alexander 4, Saladin 4, Barbarossa 4, Nobunaga 3, Hannibal 4, Jebe 4.

I think his replacement should be Atilla(?) |

Ashigaru Nobunaga is a real demon imo and you'll need an Artillery gen like Li or Cleo if you wanna blow up the city quickly. Then again, I only got 3-stars through luck so I'm just gonna say this: save up on medals. |
