Nice catch Singlemalt, we need to know which countries are doable without generals. Good tip!

Did you get any medals besides the achievements?

Did you get any medals besides the achievements? I think the medals you win ARE from the achievements. Correct me if I am wrong.

Will you receive any medals for the second conquest with the same country? If not - what are rewards in this case?

Well, I just did this, and was curious to see if I did better. Well, yes. I got it in 113 turns, S rank. Granted I used Messe, but that was a meh decision. There was a city I wanted defended, and couldn't be bothered to keep checking in and popping in an infantry squad or two :/
Since there's no real guide, here, allow me to explain how I did it. I saw someone ask about Finland, anyways, a bit ago.
Spend the first...10-15 turns (?) just sniping cities with para-troopers, while defending your capitol. Denmark, some Polish and Russian cities, and the Baltics are prime targets for this. Just pray that Germany doesn't take them beforehand. If you don't have at least 7-ish cities by turn 20, then restart (10 is optimal, at that point). After this, push into Russia with the German's. You should be able to take the majority of their cities. On this topic, try to avoid spending too many resources on Moscow, and instead push west. A simple medium tank or two will suffice, due to some German support. Maybe an arty, if necessary.
While doing this, if you hold one or more cities along the European coast, I suggest providing support against British generals and preventing America from gain any real ground in Spain. Doing this effectively ensures that your allies won't completely falter, early on.
Now, your forces will split up slightly from here. Push, from all sides, into Asia. The north will require some strong-arming, but most cities will fall kind of quickly. Some parts of China and India will slow you down, but a few arty pieces will solve this. I suggest taking the city east of Delhi for this purpose. As this is happening, though, send some forces through the Middle East, and capture Africa, this way. Build an airport or two, as needed, and, again, most cities will fall quickly. In fact, due to my allies not having all too much to deal with at this point, the Balkans sent several units down to Egypt and allowed my paratroopers to land in Cairo.
Move troops from former Thailand (it always dies. ALWAYS) to take Australia and such. Bombing, then para-trooper dropping makes this easy, but beware of the horde that awaits (at least in my case). If Japan is taken (it was for me), then do the same, here.
To enforce the broken record, here; While doing this, bombard Britain and take their capitol. Don't bother attacking them before this, because you won't have the resources for it. At this point, you should have missiles, so they'll help a TON. Build a silo or two and 4 continents will be your's, right there. This and Australia should happen around the same time, so the missiles bit applies to that, as well.
Now to invade America. Ouch. This is true pain. Build nukes. I'd say about 8-10. Push from Britain into Northern Canada, primarily towards the city just north of Ottawa and Toronto. Take it, build a missile silo there, and take said cities. Push from Russia, too, into Alaska, and take Alaska. That'll give you access to everything else in Canada, and the other half of America. NOW NUKE EVERYTHING! Or, more logically, just nuke the major coastal cities. The middle cities won't last long after that, and the Mexican port that is ALWAYS TAKEN (AND IS SUPER ANNOYING) will fall just as easily against missiles and para troopers. Hawaii and Midway may cause issues, due to their distance, but a few more missiles, paratroopers, and landing units will make short work of them.
NOTES: -Easiest way to take most ports is to deploy a unit next to them on the turn before you plan to destroy the unit that's there. Once taken, just occasionally build a destroyer when it's in danger of being taken back. -Paratroopers are your immediate friend, while missiles will be your love interest later on. -Allies can be quite useful, as I said. Try to make sure they don't get completely destroyed too early on.

I know this thread is old, but I did it in 91 turns without generals, using only max European tech.
