Sorry no pictures...
Have Sophia (on light artillery at the start), Blucher, and Scharnhorst head south to Munich, and make sure that they kill the enemy general that is attacking Jena in their way. Golitsyn on the guards cavalry will join Ferdinand to reinforce Jena. If you had more generals, then I would tell you to reinforce Wesbaden but that won't work for only Golitsyn.
To defend Oldenburg, create heavy artillery when you can afford it at the factory and have the light cavalry unit go up there. Oldenburg will probably be taken anyway, but you can retake it using the artillery+cavalry.
Do whatever you can to keep the enemy generals away from Jena. Building forts in choke points is the best way to do this, as well as using your generals to body block the enemy. After capturing Munich, the trio mentioned above will move on to the next objective directly in front of Munich before heading up to Karlshure. At this point, Lannes will begin attacking the previously captured objectives. Use tier 3 light infantry to keep him occupied until Ney and the other guy are dead, then use artillery to kill him.
Finally, Moreau (forgot about him didn't ya?) will start attacking, but can easily be brought down by what's left of Blucher, Golitsyn, and Ferdinand. Hope this helps.

On a more serious note, I am now up to this battle. Rather than a particular strategy, I would prefer to know what specific goals I have to accomplish that define victory. At the moment it's looking like "defend Jena at all costs and eliminate all enemy generals".

Flashing red circles, as always. Control all the red circle cities, and kill all red circle generals

Flashing red circles, as always. Control all the red circle cities, and kill all red circle generals The first time I did this, I was puzzled because one of those cities was Austerlitz, and occupying it got me that "I don't want to see such thing again" message. Wait, I thought, isn't that what I'm supposed to do?" I have since learned my lesson, plus playing mostly in conquest mode means I no longer hesitate to stab my allies in the back and take what's theirs.

You could also try a (slow) clockwise circle. Start capturing the Netherlands and advance theough France to ur objective cities. Be warned though! You cant handle the whole France army at the same time! This heloed me, whilst only having bertier! And I guess if this doesnt't work then go via your objective against the French. This is much harder though!

Goals: Take over Netherlands, go all in. This should be done by turn 6. When you've done that take Wiesbaden, this will be the hardest part. Kill moreau and Lannes in te process. Around turn 12, whwn they are killed, take your main troop to munich and Kalsrue and take over these cities one by one. Most likely not 5*, but it does work!
