For making even the most OP generals look like the weak fools they deserve when they're entering water (which they should be). Best improvement so far from WC3.

Oh btw, to pass this mission (Line of Europe), defend for the first 2 rounds because Vasilevsky and Konev will plow towards you, please keep tanks away from Vasilevsky he has bonus damage. After both of them defeated, capture Berlin as fast as you can because they will just spam heavy tanks in there. Please surround the city to stop them from spamming the tanks. After Berlin is secured, go north and defeat me ( bagramyan) then recapture Hamburg. Defend Hamburg from Timoshenko and (if you can) focus your attack to Zhukov while he is at sea. If not, just spam artilleries to defend from landing forces. Once both of them are defeated, you basically have won the game. (You get 3 star for defend all 3 targets for 20 rounds).

Yeah... and it’s suddenly less nice when your own generals are also easily destroyed once in the water.

Yeah... and it’s suddenly less nice when your own generals are also easily destroyed once in the water. Couldn't disagree with that although it does add lots of depth in our strategies when landing troops, well this is a straegy game anyways. But enemy generals in campaigns are usually OP and having them destroyed easily when in water really makes life easier (plus the *Auto Corrected*ed AI mechanics when they land their troops).

Yeah... and it’s suddenly less nice when your own generals are also easily destroyed once in the water. Just means new tactics are required. You need a Navy now, and probably a naval commander or two. Naval power was kind of a joke in WC3. Glad it is more relevant now.

Thanks man, I did this and it worked. Really nice too because you get one of the invasion wonders for this mission.

It may b worked on normal but u want 2 change it on hard mode tho, i barely get 3 stars because belgium n netherland join the Soviet I was just about to start Cold War hard mode scenarios when I saw this. Thanks to your warning about Netherlands and Belgium, after I took Berlin, I shifted Konev in my rocket artillery and Rommel in the triple stacked tank over to defend against those backstabbers. Quickly routed them and counter attacked. Took their cities, then bombed the sub in the port and took it. The Soviets in the northwest just sat there for some reason, so I built up a navy and wiped them out. Then crossed the water and took the last Soviet city, ending the mission in turn 22.

One has to wonder how the soviets managed to persuade Belgium and the Netherlands to join them on hard mode

Yeah it’s a bit a nonsense there. It’s like if Japan persuaded North Korea to join it in a war against China.

One has to wonder how the soviets managed to persuade Belgium and the Netherlands to join them on hard mode Lol, Zhukov just pops up and literally says, “We’ve convinced Belgium and the Netherlands to helps us complete the defeat of Berlin.” Um, OK. Nevermind all that NATO stuff, I guess.

I dont know if you have maxed out tech or incredible generals, but killing Konev and Vasilevsky and capturing Berlin BEFORE Zhukov starts moving is impossible for me.
