I think the key is to focus on stopping the enemy attack in the south first. Than You want to take Prague to stop the enemy spawning troops there. Than go north to take Warsaw and Berlin while the main enemy force in the north is distracted by your allies. Your allies can sometimes retake Hamburg back but if they don't than you have to retake it yourself.

I defeat the southern generals but then my allies lose Hamburg and I have to deal with Chuikov, Rokossovky, and Timoshenko attacking Berlin. Plus my offense always stalls out at Prague. I'll try this strategy when I have the chance

best75 your strategy worked, I blitzed Munich because Zhukov runs right past you to kill Manstein. Germany surrounded him and my aircraft carrier killed him. After capturing Munich, I drew the northern generals towards there, relieving Cologne of danger and allowing Dowding to eventually recapture Hamburg. Capturing Prague before Rokossovsky attacks Munich is a must, it provides the income that you need to repel the enemies. After they were all dealt with, I swung up to Berlin and had enough time to take the bonus objective before finishing in 22 turns, easy 3 stars.

I just cleared it going north first and recapturing Hamburg. When I went to capture Munich I was attacked immediately after that and just couldn't keep it and also had no time to capture any other city in order not to lose before I lose Munich.

Guderian, Messe, Konev, Nagumo, and Rundstedt. I see. I have weaker gens: Timoshenko, Nimitz, Konev and Yamashita. But this scenario was interesting. Invading from the North was my last plan. I had no idea, what to try if that failed.

Yeah, and keeping in mind by that time (May 1966) Guderian is already dead 12 years ago, he can't be very valuable

The enemy troops spawn every turn

The enemy troops spawn every turn moving fast and gaining as many enemy cities as soon as possible will prevent the enemy from getting more places to spam. Besides in normal mode the spam is much easier to deal with than the hard counterpart. Do not get held up destroying every single enemy unit before taking a city, just blast straight through, take an enemy city, and move on quickly, leaving normal units to defend your invaded cities.

Every time I do this my normal troops get destroyed by enemy generals. BTW my gens are Gunderian, Konev, Rommel and Messe. Who should I get next?
