In this thread I will be guiding you through the process on how I completed this mission with low tech and limited generals.
First of all, I want to say that rumor is key, if you dont have atleast one general with lvl 5 rumor, this will be incredibly hard.
My generals are as followed:
Rommel (lvl 5 blitzkrieg + medal), Leeb (lvl 1 rumor), Nimitz (lvl 5 rumor) and Konev (lvl 5 rumor).
You start of with the following troops:
Navy: 1 destroyer, 1 cruiser.
Ground: 1 super tank, 1 heavy tank, 1 medium tank, 1 rocket artillery and 1 howitzer.
I started of with deploying my generals:
Nimitz on the cruiser, Rommel on the super tank, Leeb on the howitzer and Konev on the rocker artillery.
I used the ion cannon to support my main ground forces, instead of using him on Timoshenko from the start.
I sent my heavy and medium tank to take the 2 islands directly east, starting from the top, with support from my navy. The rest of my forces, were sent south with cover from my allies, I managed to land them without taking too much, if not, no damage.
With the main force I first fought my way to the most south city, defended by Novikov, after that, I captured the city Bagramyan is in and then Konev. After defeating Konev, I focused my forces, on defeating Timoshenko.
In the meanwhile, my other 2 tanks with my navy captured the 2 islands and defeated the enemy navy, instead of the carrier and left the island in the far east allone. My destroyer was already destroyed and the 2 tanks were heavily damaged, but that is okay. Just defend the 2 islands and build one or two nukes. The enemy will keep trying to take back the islands, using paratroopers, so keep an eye out for that. After dealing with the navy (except the carrier), I sent Nimitz to attack Timoshenko, and before I knew, Timoshenko was disabled (hit with rumor three times) so he, and my other troops once they arrived, could snipe him WITHOUT taking ANY damage. After he was dead and his city was captured, I sent my forces to face Zhukov. I dropped the nukes with stealth bombers, and spent the rest of my resources on more stealth bombers to take out Zhukov. Gladly he is on a super rocket so he doesnt have too much hp.
With this tactic I managed to get the 3 stars in the last round.
