You start out in the top right corner holding 2 cities, with a weak ally in the top left corner. You control 2 infrantry units, one elite light infantry (commanded by Washington) and one rifleman, one heavy artillery and one heavy cavalry commanded by Greene. The objective is to capture 3 cities and keep Washington alive (atleast untill you have captured one of the cities). At the start of the game, don't play defensive, push towards one of the first cities (the easiest to capture is the Poish city, because it is only lvl 2 and is not defended by a general, often not at all). Once you have captured one of the cities, don't try to save Washington, just let him attack everyone, if he dies it will not be a big deal as you will only loose if you run out of time or lose all victory points/units. When you have broken through the first line of defense and/or you have some extra resources over for an heavy cavalry, buy it and use it to aid your ally, if you are successfull and beat of the enemy attack, you will be awarded with the units and city of your ally. Be aware that at round 4, two British infantry units spawn near your most right city. Try not to loose this city, because if you do, 2 more enemy infantry units will spawn above New York. After you have taken the first city, the hardest part is over, do NOT pay any attention to the ships during the entire mission and just capture the last two remaining cities.

To my surprise, the strategy mentioned by OP actually works. I’m having the first two free generals equipped with an ambulance though. 3 stars! Thanks.

This no longer works because Washington is an objective

This no longer works because Washington is an objective Does capturing 1 objective BEFORE Washington dies help prevent defeat?

This no longer works because Washington is an objective Does capturing 1 objective BEFORE Washington dies help prevent defeat? IDK I eventually figured it out last night. I fought my way to an opening and then hid Washington in the far corner and held the cities with militia. From there it’s just a slaughter

Yes it does, that was the reason I created this guide, defending Washington was a priority from the release of the game, but you can forget about that once you capture one of the required cities.
