Looks good doesn’t he? However, it is important to take into account that a general must be strong before he recieves a plain warfare bonus in order to be really effective. This guy does not have salvo or storm fortifications, so despite his bonuses, his output will still be lacking. Scharnhorst is the man you want. You can pass up this guy and still be ok.

There isn't a reason to get such a cheap general. The only crap gens you should have are the free ones. |

I have to disagree with you guys, he's not the best, but he is still good, I've been using him, and he is a strong general, especially when maxed he gets to 100 attk easy. Yes there are still better gens but while I've been using him he is good

Yes there are still better gens but while I've been using him he is good He's good on his own, but compared to the other alternatives, he doesn't really stand up.Alexander I is clearly leagues ahead of Benedek. But if we simply consider what he can do, he's good because of plain fighting |

Definitely true. Cheap generals only had a place in ew4 Verhuell disagrees. But I guess the best cheap generals are the Princess Sophia and Lan, along with John and Alexander I. |

This isn't compare generals page, its a rating of all the individual generals, so too everyone rate generals by how they are, and not how they compare to someone else.

3 stars. He is decent, but a cheap artillery general isn’t needed at all, especially when you have Jourdan.

You need to compare with other generals. For example, why buy Moltke, who is just ok, when for FIVE more medals you can get Mahmud II, who is the best non-IAP artillery general in the game? |

And this is Benedek OP from EW6: 1804  Once you upgrade his skills and rank, Benedek becomes pretty good. Of course, you cannot compare him to Napoleon or Scharnhorst! But he does his job. No more, no less. |
