I need help with this one. It says 14 days for 3 stars so I’m guessing speed is a virtue for this level but I always get bogged down by the Prussians or get swarmed by the Austrians. I have Jourdan, Gates, and Clinton (gates and clinton with bayonets). Have been able to do all the other levels up to this point but completely stuck on this one. All the units have 100+ health now so the game is just one big slug fest

Hi this is a survive Mission. In a way it is hero Defence Mission. Defeat all enemies in a wave and the next general will come after you. U will get 3 stars if you have enough Dps. Your allies will try to suicide. Let them die.It is very easy just hide napoleon behind your fort and surround him with units. Towards the end u might need to spam build militia or line infantry to defend. First 8 rounds you shouldn't build any units to build up your economy. In fact your Calvary unit should die shortly in the early stage.

I killed the Austrian generals with ease, but Scharnhorst never came after me, do I need to go after him?

I played this mission twice. The first time, Scharnhorst moved on round 12 and got obliterated by Napoleon. I restarted after that realizing that the Austrian general was not coming towards me. The second time around, Scharnhorst came after me on round 7 which gave me plenty of time to kill him and the last Austrian gen. I think it has to do with Napoleon's proximity. I moved north after killing the wave of enemies and Radetzky and that's when Scharnhorst moved whereas the first time I played defensively and he didn't move until later.

So basically, we have to use the French Emperor as bait. Well then, that Force March has a use now. Yet how close must Napoleon be? I lured out Archduke Karl but Scharnhorst refused to attack, even after the other Prussian arty gen has attacked. Update: Somehow, I got lucky & Scharnhorst left his city on turn 20. Managed to win on turn 22.

I believe I had Napoleon in this general area to get Karl to move. Scharnhorst leaves the city eventually if you advance towards him. Like xerexes says, make sure you kill all of the attacking units first.

Like xerexes says, make sure you kill all of the attacking units first. Thinking back on my failed attempts, Napoleon was always at the French city when Radetzsky attacks. It's possible this is simply just a "kill all attackers" type of mission. Thank you for your help anyways.

What I did was build fortifications on the border of my territory. Upgrade the city to level 5 so you can get 3 forts. Put Jourdan on the artillery.
Basically you don't want them to flank you or it's over. Deploy line infantry and riflemen to cover up holes. Destroy their artillery first or this won't work.
Move Napoleon and Jourdan around behind your units to take out enemy generals. They'll move in on you so just worry about keeping fortifications up.

With 2 Military School gens, I feel like trying a different approach to this campaign.
IF you have enough firepower, you can try a risky gamble & push North, defeating the Austrian waves & attacking Scharnhorst in his city from the north. Using the only Forced March we have, we can march 1 key unit to join the northern group while militia spawned in the city will attack eastwards.
Of course, this hyper aggressive strategy comes with a huge risk: Napoleón dying before you kill Scharnhorst.
What do you guys think?

My strategy is to go after Scharnhorst in the East as he never seems to advance plus the mountain terrain too the North is a good barrier against reinforcements. Then I retreat to the peninsula to create a bottle neck and set up defensive positions as the two Austrian generals are always going to advance. I ignore the southern Austrian army i don't even bother attacking them.

Hey guys, I killed Scharnhorst in 8 turns by advancing. The other gens are too easy to kill, my allies pretty much did all the work with my fortresses just supporting. To be fair I did use Raevsky on heavy cavalry, apart from American Revolution generals(Gates, Clinton, Jourdan). I used Senyavin as well, but only deployed him on an elite inf on the 9th turn. He saw 0 combat. However, this was very tense. Napoleon had only a quarter health left when the northeast gen finally died. He actually came out... BTW I used Forced March on Napoleon to get to Scharnhorst quickly and also poisoned Scharnhorst once. This is an easy way to win... but be cautious. Try to protect Napoleon from melee fighting as much as possible. Only then can you stand a chance of winning.
