This is the 7th mission of the French eagle campaign. I used the 3 free generals from the US campaign. I deployed Clinton on the riflemen at the start. I built a grenadier for gates and siege artillery for Jourdan.
I captured the Spanish city in front first and than advance west towards the next Spanish city. This is when I encounter Wellsely and his British troops. I focused my artillery fire and used other troops as shields. Once Wellsely is killed the enemy will suffer a big morale drop. This is the prefect time to cause confusion and kill many of their units. A mistake was while I made light artillery I didn't build many militia units to take advantage of the morale drop. You should build a few militia in advance to take advantage of their morale drop.
Once the enemy units are dead and the Spanish city is captured I moved my forces south to capture Madrid. I left militia to hold the Spainish city. At this point I had enough income to start building siege artillery and a few grenadiers. From Madrid I split my force in 2. The main force goes to capture the Portugal city than Lisbon. A secondary force of a few siege artillery and Gates help allies capture Sevilla.
