Final Eastern Overlord mission.
Generals used: The 4 freebies, plus Kutuzov and Bolivar.
First use Promotion on the rocket artillery and put Kutuzov on it.
Now utilize your artilleries 3 hex range to destroy the Imperial fort. It takes a few turns, about 4 or 5. With the fort out of the way, advance to Istanbul which strangely teleported since last mission. Aliens, indeed.
After taking Istanbul, the Ottomans will receive a double morale drop. Utilize it to take the level 3 city below Istanbul. After that's done, the Ottoman forces that were attacking your ally are now going to turn around and attack Istanbul fiercly. Fortunately they are all stuck in the sea. Just build a fort next to the city and nobody can reach it. Just refresh the unit guarding it every round.
While that's happening, your generals can advance to the next city. Again, utilize the 3 hex range to kill the enemy cavalry general and damage the city. It should be easy to finish it from here. Research a Forced March or two in your capital city just in case.
Don't worry about your ally, they seem to be pretty reliable on defense especially after you take Istanbul. If they do end up losing the city then I'm sorry, mine were able to hold out. Pics coming in next post.

I think I have quite bad luck, it only takes me 3 rounds to destroy the fort because I can use the spy, and I can capture Istanbul on round 7, but my allies city is captured with no chance of recapture. I finally have kutuzov.

When I last played it (on the game ver 1 update ago), my allies lasted... until the moment I tried to save the, ironically.

I play in the latest version as far as i know Maybe allied AI defensive strategy is changed by the update OR you have horrible luck with RNG. In either case, you may have to advance faster & use more aggressive tactics to rescue your ally OR end the campaign earlier.

I'm still unable to beat the mission. Sometimes my allies hold out until I capture Istandbul, but by then Murat is too low and Massena is also too low.

Try to buy a flintlock pistol for Murat, and upgrade your tech lvl. You may want to focus on strengthening the aura buff skills of the two. Do the above strategies work though?

I confirm I can completed 3 star with using Masséna and Murat general, you must learn another Forced March to send troops and capture city. This 2 generals aren't low when u know where put they in. With them 2 gens, and spam troops, I can complete with 3 stars, and my allies almost nearly die.

New Roman Empire is a very easy mission, unlike the previous Danube Campaign. Use a lot of Forced March on every stage: 1. Just straightforward capture Istanbul. 2. Instantly move your army South. 3. Keep building 1 grenadier each turn in Istanbul; the enemy will never have power to kill him and capture city in 1 turn. 5. Use your ship with Falsen to harass everything across the gulf. 5. Keep sending Grenadiers southwest with Forced march from your first city. Keep sending wounded grenadiers from Istanbul every turn while building them every turn. 6. Try to position your cannons southmost, so no one touches them. The enemy should not be able to ever capture your ally. If he does, it is just bad luck - retry.
