A great general, but his replacements aren’t bad either. Both Mahmud II and Alexander I can do anything he can, an they even have terrain bonuses (desert is useful as you have to fight against the ottoman empire in many scenarios).
4/5 stars for replaceability
If you have to choose between blucher and napoleon, pick blucher as his replacements are far worse than he is (Dabroski can’t even crack prince, and Murat lacks edge). With Napoleon, Mahmud II is basically him just without storm fortifacations, and Alexander I is extremely cheap and provides an arguably useful terrain bonus.

Napoleon are the best general of artillery (he has the high output) but mahmud and sophia are greater.

How many aura generals are needed for each type? I just realized that there are only 2 non-IAP aura Artillery generals: Mahmud II and Alexander I.

If you choose a non aura general to purchase you have to have a really good reason to sacrifice them over an aura general. |
