He is certainly one of the best cav gens in EW6. My preferred choice of cav gen. He so awesome.

The best cavalry general in terms of destruction to surrounding opponents, aslong as you have an ambulance and 20% critical he is the difference between having a good campaign and totally smashing the back doors off its hinges.

If it triggers on a strong cav general, you can essentially either one hit kill or greatly damage a strong unit, even with a general. The issue is that davout isn’t that strong of a general. I think ney is better due to his plain fighting. But if you want him, positioning him in a stable or a city and he will be insanely strong |
