Actually many players discuss now different Murat vs. Davout topics. But I think that Nay can be a decent cheap subtitution for both of them. We have yet to understand how "Cavalry Commander" is working, but if it is like "Crowd tactics" in WC4 ( is working for any cavalty unit within range but not for a general himself), - I will hire Nay or Paget as my first Cav general...

All yours and your ally units and skill owner himself. Splendid skill!

Ney looks great, and has fantastic skills. But will he really hold up in the end game.
Despite him hitting very hard, he has two core weaknesses. The first is the fact that he does not have an aura boost. The second is the fact that he does not have tactics master.
The two best cavarly generals in this game are Davout and Murat (Blucher is much better if you are willing to spend money). Now both of these generals are highly recommended for end game.
Now as for Ney, he cannot support Murat, as someone like Davout or Paget can attack twice, which is extremely powerful considering the aura boost Murat will provide. On the otherhand, why would you need Ney to support Davout as he does not have an aura buff.
We just simply have 3 cavarly generals, as there are two few healing items in the game, only seven, and we will need many infantry generals, a couple artillery generals, and perhaps even a special spot for nelson.
Despite Ney having strong skills, he will simply become obsolete towards the end game. Murat can do everything ney can in addition to providing an aura buff.

I have him, he is a wonderful general and an extremely good price performer. He is only 1190 medals and I think he provides a whole lot for his price. His skills are all good and his highest title is King which is pretty good.

And he is cheap,so you can get him early. Much like Dumuoriez in EW4.
