I can personally tell you from using him in Western Expansion and in the America 1812 conquest that he is useless. If a fully upgraded brown is useless, I don’t even want to imagine how bad an unupgraded brown is.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Apparently Heavy Cavalry is so good that it briefly made me believe that he was decent during Declaration of Independence, in fact due to my unupgraded tech he seemed better than Greene. But my, my, he’s a complete waste of medals. Why don’t you use those medals to save for someone like Ney instead?

Also if you are interested in seeing if greene is good or not, look at the general Paget in conquest (british). He is basically a slightly stronger Greene (but double in price). If you like him, you will like greene |

I rate Brown 1 star, in other words completely useless. Bad stats, bad skills, and overpriced. He’s as useful as Bersford. Don’t buy him, you will regret it a lot if you do.

Sure, he’s a horrible deal and deserves a 1 star rating, but he’s not actually 100% worthless in USA 1812. He starts at a good location where there’s a lot of buildings and is on a decent unit.
Also his skills aren’t that bad. Station is semi-functional on cav and Alert is super-underrated. He just lacks the most important ones like precision strike.
