Well ive tried this mission a few times now and i have failed always.I do well at the start but when that armored car and machine gun guys come i start to have trouble. Also GB arrives very shortly after, giving me trouble on defending Amsterdam which i have captured at the time.I also usually defend on bottom till later on.
Any tactics that can help?

first take amsterdam for the money and other recourses, the best country in the world shouldn't be hard to beat.
try to avoid nancy/metz because of the strong troops and bunkers standing there. instead go via brussel towards paris and afterwards towards nantes.
Try to bomb the general on paris out with a strong general. after this your economy is good, very good.
your troops in the south should be able to conquer the stable.
