At the start of the 1939 conquest gamemode, countries are assigned their alliances (axis and allies). You can choose which country you want to be, such as Romania, or Nazi Germany. Neutral countries such as Switzerland and Turkey are not unlockable, unless done so by a modded application. By default, countries such as France or Denmark won't attack you unless you attack them first. So, I suggest that you build up a defense on the French border, and strike Brussels and Amsterdam first before moving into france. Should you want to expand into a neutral country like Switzerland or Turkey, do so by opening the diplomacy menu, and clicking the sword next to their name. Most neutral countries are weaker than their axis/ally neighbor, like so Mexico is weaker than America, and Columbia is weaker than Mexico. Once the Dutch and Belgians are taken care of, use the defense you build on the border to push into territory. When a unit is destroyed, replace it, and use Brussels as a flank for Dunkirk. Once France is pushed to Aquitaine (Spanish border), focus more on the Soviet union. Make sure to periodically fund Japan for its war in China. Try to capture leningrad, and hold the city until you have built more troops to push. Capturing Moscow will demoralize troops, so move your units from Leningrad to siege Moscow (field artillery is reccomended). Send bombing missions to Moscow to help take down the city faster. Should you be successful in capturing Moscow, stop, and begin building troops to hold a border. Battles will be easier, as troops are demoralized. Build two lines of tanks, artillery, and infantry, and push until you reach the border to Siberia. Japan will do the rest. Fund Japan about half of your income every 3 turns.

funding is not needed as not only it will waste your resources, japan wont benefit too. Besides if japan falls you can take it back later and have a better end game result. Germany is easy with many good generals in heavy tanks, so border defense is not needed as you push into russia easily without much resistance. Plus as germany working on both gaps of the maginot line is useful as we all know how incapable the italians are :]

Basically taking Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway before proceeding to attack France while having half of your forces defending against the Soviets? Then taking the USSR and the Asian countries over?

Use paratroopers to block the canadians and the americans from landing K S Thimayya, and build up a larger submarine fleet to take over UK ports and fend off the american cruisers. In the eastern front use howitzers to lower soviet tank hp. Spam howitzers and send them to russia, that way you can both defeat the havy tanks and take russian cities

Most African cities are Level 1 and thus can be taken out by even Assault Infantry. It’s much easier if you have the Cold War Air tech tree upgrade that sends Mechanized Infantry via paratroopers instead.

Oof, the UK can be a pain with their naval power, and USSR can send units from many directions, overwhelming you if you aren’t careful. They also have dangerous generals such as Rokossovsky and Zhukov.

The 50% no-retaliation chance is very helpful. It’s like every Howitzer has a 50% chance of triggering Blitzkrieg/Guerrilla.

Why is Japan falling apart? They have only Khabarovsk left. Was I supposed to give them financial help or was it because I am too late? I am on 55th turn by the way.
