This is the 5th mission in the British empire campaign. I managed 3 stars using Washington, Kutuzov, and the 4 free generals.
At the start I upgraded Porto to lvl 5 and built rocket artillery for Kutuzov and later another one for Clinton when I had the resources.
Place your best infantry general on the grenadier at Porto and let Soult attack Porto. With the city taking some damage it should be easy to kill Soult without your general losing too much HP. Your other units should take the lvl 3 French city to the east.
Next we need to make sure the French don't capture Madrid. If they capture Madrid than I would restart as in addition to having to recapture Madrid the French get a morale boost and a few turns later we get a double morale drop
When I took Madrid from Spain I had to build a riflemen unit every turn to hold the city while my other units cleared the French units attacking. I focussed on killing the 2 infantry generals and than Napoleon. Killing Napoleon will cause a double morale drop for the French. This morale drop should allow you to easily kill the remaining French units and our ally Portugal to hold Lisbon.
With Madrid secured it shouldn't be too difficult capturing the 3 French cities on the eastern side of the map.
