In the last mission of the birth of the empire campaign if you capture the 2 cities north-east of Paris, the French troops at Strasbourg, Metz, and the city Napoleon is next to will turn neutral. I thought "sweet, so I don't need to capture those cities. Just need Paris and that lvl 4 city in the south." 10 turns later I captured those 2 cities and I wondered why the victory screen was not popping up. I look and discover the French troops at Metz and Srasbourg have changed back to the enemy meaning I will have to capture those 2 cities. As I was in the process of capturing Metz I noticed the city Napoleon is next to has changed to being the enemy as well. Meaning I have to capture all 3 cities at the front. Anyway for those not up to here, know that the 3 cities in the front will change back to the enemy side and be prepared to take those cities. I was not prepared and just barely managed to capture the cities in time for a 3 star.

It is also possiblele to ignore orders and take Paris instead. But I think the easiest way to complete this mission with 3 stars is to help your allies and to capture key cities one by one. It is interesting that Moltke did absolutely nothing in this mission for me. Thus I completed German Empire as well

I straight up went to the nearest objective city in 2 turns, then another city in a turn, split up my army into two and capture all 3 cities in around 5 turns and charged to Paris.
I never knew about France surrendering lol

to bad they not north german federation flag or german empire. Going back into this the German empire here isn’t actually the German empire yet since this was the war that would eventually force the German states in Austria to defect into Bismarck’s Germany which would lead to the German Empire itself. Thanks history teacher from the past!

That was one hell of a stage. I restarted 3 times. 1. Capture Reims 1st turn. You want 1-2 grenadiers out asap. 2. Capture the 2 event cities as well as the northern lv3 city (so you get more pops and thus more income. 3. I divide my forces. 2 inf commanders plus grenadiers and riflemen go to the southern city while cav&arty goes to Paris. Krupp cannon is really strong it can tear Paris wall to pieces. Focus on objectives. 9 turns finish

Brutal if you have weak or few strong gens (I used Davout, Mahmud II, Massena, Gates and possibly Clinton).
The strategy of helping your allies conquer the 3 partially encircled cities worked and I managed to prevent them from getting wiped out. Moltke WILL be useless because he will not move, Bismarck and the others will probably be too busy dying.
The only part where I struggled was to overcome a siege of all my cities, especially Rheims, but I won with 1* at turn 31. Thanks to the 3 captured frontline cities, I ensured and won.

My strategy was take the 2 event cities then immediately go back and protect Bismarck and Steinmetz. Finish the rest once they are safe.

My last final mission here before I go on . I'm somewhat lazy if not overwhelmed some where. I took a break from campaign still I don't want to do this. Question is does it look like I'll get by with 1 stars the least. I have all my conquest medals, the only items worth a mention is one ambulance, commanding knife and the Knight long gun and maybe the bear skinned hat. Infantry tech is fully upgraded, cavalry and art just need one more of attack and defense. As for general upgrade they're almost maxed for their nobility. (Except for Lannes. And Falsen. ) I got really far with a few items so no more for now. It's this doable with my current tech?

Probably 2 stars, but 3 stars is possible if everything goes perfectly

There's this annoying onslaught of random troops that pop up after round five. When I followed some of these methods when my tech was much lower. I either went over the turn limit or my allies got wiped out. AI can be so weird...

Paris would pretty much be the obstacle that prevents you from getting 3 star. Got 2 star by finishing it in 21 turns.
