NOTE, THIS TUTORIAL IS IMPLEMENTED IN THE LIBRARY OVER HERE: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/5897/attention-all-players-wc3-guide, BE SURE TO VISIT IT.
for every big noob of wc3, I came with a grande tutorial.
so you first install the game and see this:
your like: WTF should I do....
i'm like: what shall i do now....
as you can see it's diveded into 6 sections.
* Millitary Career
* Conquer world
* HQ
* Google Play Achievements (red picture)
* Options (green picture)
* To the site of Easytech (Blue picture)
explenation of the sections:
*Military Career:
When you open you see the world map with 1 tutorial and 1 axis and 1 Allies mission.
When you look beneath you see your in the "Campaign" tab. you see 3 tabs in total called:
*Campaign
*Mission
*Wonder
you also see a shortcut to the Headquarters (HQ) which I shall explain later.
I think I don't have to explain what the button "Exit" is about.
Campaign:
in the first tab you see the campaings. the campaigns are levels that you have to complete to unlock the next campaign.
in a campaign you play with a country like Soviet Union or Germany. you have 2 series at the beginning: Axis and Allies (10 levels).
when you complete those you get WTO and Nato (6 levels). afterwards you get the Union (9 levels).
The goal in campaigns is to maintain all blue objectives and to obtain all Red objectives. when you lost all your blue cities. you automaticely lose:
Example 1:
As you can see the city of "Bangkok" got a blue cirlce beneath it (hard to see) and New Delhi and the english 2-town got a red circle beneath it.
so the goal in this campaign is to maintain Bangkok and to Conquer New Delhi and the English 2-town.
Example 2:
As you can see Berlin provides 80 Gold and 36 steel. you need that money and steel to produce troops. with troops you can attack and conquer the world. the total amount of money is shown at the top, you see I got 400 money and 300 industry right now.
As you can see it opens on the Infantery tab, but when you look at the top you see multiple tabs:
Infantery-Tank-Artillery-Air-Missile-Nuclear
Some cities don't provide that all.
As you can see Warsaw has a lot less things available than Minsk, but a lot more available than the german city in east Prussia.
The first icon is the city. it can have value 1 till 6, but 6 is shown as a star (like Warsaw).
The second icon is Industry. It can have value 1 till 4
The third is Air. It can have value 1 till 3
The fourth is Missile.
The fifth is Nuclear.
City Icon:
The city icon provides the money and steel. STEEL IS NOT PROVIDED BY INDUSTRY LEVEL.
The city also provides the infantery units. when the city level is 1 you can only provide Light infantery.
when the city level is 2 you can provide light infantery and assault infantery etc...
The city also provides you HP. When a troop of yours is hurt. it can shelter in the city. you get a certain amount of HP per Round.
This amount is decided by your Supply level (which I shall explain later)
Amount of money:
City level Gold Steel
1 12 10
2 24 15
3 36 20
4 48 25
5 60 30
6/* 65 30
Moscow 70 30
Peking** 70 30
London 75 30
Tokyo 75 30
Berlin 80 30
Washington 80 30
**Peking only provides that amount of money in 1950/60/75
The factory icon decides if you can create Tanks and Artilleries. the higher the level is, the more you can create:
The same goes here again.
When lvl 1. you can only create Armored Car and Battalion Artillery
When lvl 2. you can Create Armored Car, Tank and Battalion Artillery, Field artillery
When lvl 3. you can Create Armored Car, Tank, Heavy Tank and Battalion Artillery, Field artillery, Rocket Artillery
When lvl 4. you can Create Armored Car, Tank, Heavy Tank, Super tank and Battalion Artillery, Field artillery, Rocket Artillery (Everything)
The Airicon decides if you can forfill air-strike or drop paratroopers
For lvl 1, you can use Figther and Bomber
For lvl 2, you can use Fighter, Bomber and Paratrooper
For lvl 3, you can use them all
Strategic Bomber can carry Nuclear weapons, you see this on the icon (explanation later)
You can use the planes to strike in a certain range, this range depends on your Tech-level for air (explanation later)
cities with the Missile icon can launch missiles. unlike the previous ones, you don't have missile lvl 1 or so.
the missiles that you can launch depends on you HQ-level. (explanation later)
When cities have a nuclear sign, it means that you can create nuclear bombs in there.
every bomb takes multiple turns to complete:
Atomic bomb = 2 turns
Hydrogen bomb = 3 turns
Anitmatter bomb = 4 turns
when you completed them you can launch them into missiles or strategic bomber by pressing on the nuclear sign and afterwards on the nuclear weapon you want to put into it.
you unlock more types of nuclear weapons by upgrading your atomic level in the HQ (will explain later)
For a better and more clearer explanation of this:
european-war-4.boards.net/thread/753/tutorial-build-launch-nukes
So we finnaly know how to recrute troops and which troops are available. so the only thing left is a good strategy to complete the campaigns:
Of course we have strategies for it in "the war path":

Axis: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/582/campaign-guides (created by Jean Lannes - with pics)

but it's not fun if you just open it up and complete the game while don't even try it yourself, so i'll come with some basic tactics.
you have to adjust them so it fits perfectly in your campaign/challenges.
Strategy 1: Surrounding.
When you surround a troop their moral will drop, they won't deal as much damage anymore as they used to have. so it doesn't mean that you deal more damage to it. but they don't deal as much damage to you.
Strategy 2: Efficient troop use
Use your troops efficently, attack first with infantery and afterwards with tanks, tanks can move again after they destroyed something so you can use them "twice" in only 1 turn. or take that city inmediately when destroyed.
when you don't have a tank nearby just attack with the strongest troops first, so your weaker one can walk in the city.
Also use commandos or assault infantery to go on mines, they deal 80% damage less on mines. a fully list of the every troops and the skills can be found here:
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1C7BV9Fw_LLiQ1QkvfeTU7PEBM-yl1kuTGlkIQmp5XtY/edit?usp=sharing
Strategy 3: Range Troop use
some troops has the ability to launch ranged attacks. so you can attack unranged targets with them while they don't get any damage. but most of the ranged troops don't have much health, so don't let the enemy come to this weapons.
Strategy 4: Use naval support
Naval troops are way stronger than "common" troops, so use them because of that to forfill strikes.
Strategy 5: Use air strikes.
Only use this tactic when you got a lot of money, you can have as much of air-strikes to a city as you want, so if you just air-strike them untill your able to conquer the city, you can paradrop the city after it.
if you got more strategies, leave a comment!
So you completed your first Campaign, and afterwards you see that you can't open the new one, this is because your HQ-level is too low. your current HQ-level is shown at the top in the centre.
But how to Upgrade your HQ-level?
these are the options:
* complete missions (purple and red ones)
* complete factory missions (yellow ones)
* complete the buildings of wonders
* complete a campaign for the first time
* complete a challenge
You get a little EXP from this:
* take recourses from Pharos wonder
(exp. +10 per 20 days)
* take recourses from Opera House Wonder
(exp. +20 per 20 days)
* take recourses from Moai wonder
(exp. +30 per 20 days)
* campaigns in other difficulty levels
* campaigns after you've completed it ones
You are NOT going to have exp from:
* conquests
* upgrading your generals or buy a new one
* upgrading your troops in the HQ
Read more: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/726/tutorial-leveling-hq#ixzz3rvrJpPp0
so now you succesfully upgraded your HQ-level!
but you see one of your older campaigns got a red thing above it. it says you can complete your campaign in another difficulty-level.
The goal of this campaign is the same as before, but in this new one, your enemy got higher technology. so it's more difficult for you to complete.
So now you now the basics of the campaign, lets move further to the challenges
Suddenly you discover a weird kind of red thing in your world map, it's a challenge!!
you have to complete them to unlock the next challenges. there a 45 challenges in total of 5 categories!
you have to unlock the 1 one of each categorie by leveling up your HQ to a certain level.
you don't have to have a HQ level to gain acces to all challenes.
the 5 categories are:
1. break through encirclement
2. Rescue The Ally
3. Accumalate Supplies
4. Hold The Ground
5. Wipe out the enemy
the explenations of the categories.
1. Break through Encirclement.
In Break through the Encirlcement it is the target to posses the target in Red.
Strategy: Only focus on the targets, you got less troops than the enemy so gather everything you have and only strike the targets, you only loose troops when you strike the other things.
2. Rescue the Ally
In Resue the ally the goal is to rescue the ally shown with the Blue circle beneath it.
Strategy: Try to wipe out as much as you can, so as less as possible troops of the enemy attacks your ally
3. Acucumalate Supplies:
in Accumulate supplies it's the goal to posses the supplies shown in the circle.
Strategy: only move troops when necessary, it costs fuel to move them so don't move them when it isn't necesary.
also wonders (explanation later) can provide a lot for this type of challenge.
4. Hold the ground
in hold the ground you have to posses the city with the blue line underneath at all times.
Strategy: try to save up some money so you can always spam a troop inside the city. also use your generals on troops on the city.
5. Wipe out the Enemy
in wipe out the enemy, the goal is to wipe out every enemy troop with a red line underneath them.
Strategy: don't pay attention to troops without a red line beneat them, they aren't worth your time.

you also see a general with a blue line:
When A general has a blue line beneath it means that you got to have at least 1 other city with a blue line beneath it. so you got to have an obiective before he dies.
Goal:
So the goal is to conquer Changchun and The Japanese citie at the top and if your allies lost their city with the blue cirlce beneath it you have to conquer it.
you also have lost when the Russian General dies before you got at least 1 obiective.
Sometimes a target has a golden cirlce beneath it. when you destroy that. you got a bonus. like some tutorial teacher in the hq (will explain later)
But how do I recrute troops?
You can only assign troops from Cities. Cities also produces income:
