Keep manoeuvring your troops on the top most part of the map and hope the French Navy doesn’t detect Wellesley and start shooting at him

If you're extra cautious, advance your land troops very slowly and carefully. Only use your troop transports to kill very weak enemy ships that are within range. Your navy should be clearing a path for you.
Then, quickly land troops at the jut of land near where the arty gen is waiting. Wellesley MUST land first because he's a target gen. Coordinate your assaults and landings to seize the target city to clear the Challenge with 2*. (First * for seizing 2 targets, 2nd for keeping at least 4 units alive)

Is there any other advice, because I have Massena+Mural on ships with 50+50hp recovery and Karl on infantry, but enemy ships keep respawn(i think they are ~20in total vs 3mine+5ally) so many then they could easly kill Murat or Masena if I send them towards. + Have no idea how to kill arty general + imperial fort + pesky ~20 enemy ships ;/

Aim to ignore getting a 3* clear, unless you are very sure of victory. Merge your navy with the allied navy, using them as cannon fodder as your ships charge towards the shore by the southernmost point. Try to use your 3 ships to block the enemy ships, use flanking manoeuvres to weaken the enemy if possible. Let your troop transports destroy very weak enemy ships that make it past your 3 escorts, but try to use Wellesley last when attacking. When landing, do so very quickly, with Wellesley being last unless he is in danger of being sunk by cannon fire. Seize the city ASAP, that way, you would've won at least 1*. Spamming militia may guarantee a 2* clear, if possible. Marching your Grenadier and heavy arty northwards to attack the fort while your ships hunt the 4th target will earn you your 3* clear. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Alternate method: Charge towards the mainland via the north, using the allied attack as a decoy. Land and immediately destroy the fort, before marching southward to take the city.

This mission seems to be the most impossible of all missions I've ever played. I do everything right, but I am always decimated half way; in other missions I blame myself for mistakes, but here I only blame design and luck. The initial force is not sufficient at all and you need a LOT of healing and upgrading on every general and ships.

Without ship upgrades tho, i'd say the best is to destroy the ships of the line, and prevent your enemies from sinking Wellesley. Easier said than done tho, since a minor mistake in movement would make it so Wellesley would take more damage than he can take. This is the mission you skip until you get ship ugrades or stronger gens, or if you want to 3 star without ship ugrades, play cautiously, and pray that a lucky crit or 2 will make you win the game, which is highly unlikely.

I mean, I descented all 4 units on the shore, and then they could not destroy the fort Karl, Massena and Napoleon with ambulances and tenrs were killed by one fort and ships...

I have max tech for attack atleast, and i can easily complete this challenge. Although, at first, i had problems finishing this too. So higher tech and more general upgrades is needed to finish this quest 3 star.

So for those players who will read this further, the most important point is to move your convoy South to the bottom of map and then East under the target city. NOT northeast to the fort. You will be murdered there, my friends.
