I really want to play as Austria and win a conquest, but it is just so hard to win for every year. Any tips on how?

I would try 1806 and just attempt to hold as long as possible until the Russians can relieve you, but it really is a difficult conquest to do.

I would agree, it is difficult. But I really want to restore Austrian dominance! Austria 1806 is the most doable imo. You do get karl Yeah. You just defend, then Russia will destroy Poland & releive Prussia. With the war going smoothly in the north, you can easily focus on the south & slowly advance, like the West in WW1 after Trench warfare set in. Soon, you can take the Ottoman border cities & start pushing back. Defeating the Ottomans give you access to resources to move troops against the Appennine Peninsula (Italy) & whatever German state is on the Imperial Eagle faction. I know, because it was my first 3* clear & I did it WITHOUT gens. With gens, you cannot lose! This can be repeated in any conquest where Austria does NOT take part as a starting belligerent. It also gives the Coalition the advantage because now Austria is at war right-off the bat, slowing down Imperial Eagle forces for fellow Coalition members to coordinate a counterattack. Edit: I found my Austria 1806 guide: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/9256/overturning-history-austria-1806
