So, I've been reading some thread regarding Discovery Age Conquest. Previously, I think that this conquest is a little bit too much for my generals (general infos will be down below). But, after reading those threads, it got me thinking that maybe I could do it, but not very fast.
My generals are (note that I can't bring more than 4 per run)
1. Alexander (skill 1/2/1) with Paladin Armor and Ring, Serpentine Sword and Boots of Thieve 2. Nobunaga (skill 1/6/6) with Warrior Sword, Knight Armor, Long Steel Boots and Lucky Crown 3. Saladin (skill 1/7/3) with Flintlock, Iron Armor, Steel Boots, and Silver Necklace 4. My conquest MVP Li Shimin (skill 1/5/1) with Flintlock, Knight Shield, Long Steel Boots, and Lucky Crown
Is this enough to finish the conquest, at least the 3rd star countries? Or is there any equipment swap needed? And how fast I can finish the conquest?
Just some infos, I'm halfway into Gunpowder with around 300 literature needed and gold. City, just above 100. Resources, only lacks art and shockingly perfume.

Just remember that your generals can take lots of damage extremely quickly, which for me pretty much made me split the generals up into 2 teams.

Pallad, remember to reinforce your gens with normal troops. Try to play carefully if you're not confident, by invading in one direction (west or east) with teams of two gens as the above^^ post suggests. Make use of Geographical choke points to block your empire's flanks and rear against neutrals & enemies. This is the only "modern" ET game where geographical choke points exist in conquest. Here's a strategy if you are playing as Ming China: Use Nobunaga Oda and Alexander together. They will invade Russia via Siberia, into Moscow and cross into Danish territory after taking Saint Petersburg. This team will invade Britain, then return to mainland Europe via Amsterdam. Attack France then invade the Iberian Peninsula via Bordeaux. Lastly, invade the USA, followed by Canada. Use Li Shimin and Saladin to invade Russia via Central Asia. Turn West into Warsaw and conquer Prussia before destroying Austria. Invade Greece then turn on the Ottoman Empire. Split up to invade India and Siam, & the Arabs and North Africa. The gen in Southeast Asia will finish the conquest by invading Japan then Korea. The gen in North Africa will eventually invade Madrid (either via the sea or through Morocco). This gen will finish the conquest by defeating the Incas. Lastly, you can use your troops to invade vulnerable spots or take strategic cities. Also, use diplomacy to temporarily reduce the number of enemies/potential enemies. Try to be flexible, like sparing only 1 gen to take vulnerable North Africa.

Thank you very much for the infos, especially the simple guide for China Discovery. Those are noted and will be very useful on how I will continue forward for future Discovery, especially, and ages above Discovery conquest.

I would say change li shimin even though hes good at attacking when it comes to defence artillery cant do much. 3 star city is not a problem even with discovery age troops, even 2 star shouldnt be that much of a problem(but one of the biggest 2star country or it should be away from big empires cuz when they upgrade to next ages its not a prob for them to destroy u.)
