This was challenging, but really fun. I got a S rating .On it too. If anyone wants 2 know how I did it, or just has any questions in general feel free to ask

I too have managed to do it by using falsen to thin out the waves while Massena with double Ambulance clears them off the beaches. It’s extremely inconsistent however, I’d say I would successfully defend maybe 1/3 of the time, depending on how much help I get from the AI

I was never able to take Corsica, its so hard. so I move my generals to the ottoman empire through Italy. the Austrians damage the cities, and its easy for you to take one and gain land.

Having a cavarly general, or maybe even two cavarly generals definitely helps. Murat and Blucher wiped out corsica by like turn 10, but lost a good portion of their health

Sardinia isn’t too bad, I’ve actually found that capturing Corsica before turn 20 causes my allies to lose the game, because France is no longer spamming units at you and instead those units are killing your allies.

Nice, I'll try to replay Sardinia a bit later and see if that is true. What sucks the most about Sardinia is that you can't protect Portugal : ( I was thinking the general strategy was quickly stealing Corsica then invading Italy, while sending the frigate and a militia unit to that tiny island in Spain. Funnily enough, your strategy was how the original Sardinia grind was done. Another painful country I found was playing as Naples. Most people remember it as being easy but you definitely have to hurry in that conquest as well, or Sweden and Portugal will capitulate. But if you declare on Italy turn 1, Radetsky should wipe out Milan. Once when I was playing as Naples, I had Sweden, Sardinia, and Portugal capitulate in under 20 rounds and I was forced to restart.

I’ve had success doing Sardinia by hitting Corsica hard and then landing Italy and swinging to attack southern France, but I have to juggle items in order to do it and it becomes tiresome to constantly exit and swap items. I find that just camping Sardinia until like turn 25 then capturing Corsica and heading straight for Egypt then Ottomans usually ends the game fastest in about 50-55 turns. Most games I capitulate the Ottomans before Britain takes Iceland so next game I’m going to try sending Gates and a ship to Iceland when I take the rest of my army to Ottoman.

Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about the 1798 conquest. Yes, it sure is easier

When I possessed only Massena I did Sardinia 1798 and eventually won in winter 1814. I don't know what turn it is .
