Items in this case dont follow normal EW4 rule,ie:they are not additive,in other words you can only benefit from a single book.

You need a general with the book in the trading city, yes? Does the economic skill of the general make a difference, or does it only matter that they have the book?
Also, does it work with any city to some extent, or only the trading city?
Could you get the double benefit by having one general in YOUR trading city with the Napoleonic Code and another in a captured enemy trading city with the encyclopaedia?

The item can be used in any city, stable, port, or factory. It doesn't benefit trading in any way, it just produces mote income. If you have multiple Napoleonic Codes then they will both work as long as you have them on seperate generals. The item also works on farms to increase food.
