Strategy for Switzerland 1806 (999 turn limit version)

The title says it all. I gave this several goes, and in all of them I end up biting off far more than I can chew moving directly against the enemy at the start.
I tried stealing from the French, but went too far in one game and they turned on me.
The best thing I found to do so far is to abandon Zurich, leaving one militia in there till the last minute so allies don't steal it, then move into Spain via France, stealing what I can from France and stealing from Spain until it turns hostile. Then I destroy Spain and take Madrid as it is a trade city. Then invade Africa.
I have Sophia, Dumouriez, Fatimah and Carteaux. All are max nobility but still working up their rank. I have snare drum and comfy saddle.
Can anyone suggest an easier way to do this? I am currently thinking the best thing to do is just go straight for Africa and build up my strength there.
