I know in EW6 the generals self buff themselves with the aura. If this is the case in WC4 then generals like Messe and Timoshenko would be more viable.
So... I am wondering whether the abilities like wolfpack and crowd tactics self buff the general that is using it.

Even still, there are plenty reasons to buy either of the two and you do have the crowd tactics medal. I would just get one general give him the crowd tactics medal and use him as your buffer, preferably someone who comes with this ability beforehand. |

Yeah and the units around you as well. As for the number of hexes, I don’t remember but I think it’s one. |

I have an upgraded Guderian (Not health, but Rumor lvl 5). Konev, and Messe are not upgraded (not even health). I have enough medals to get Rommel with the 40%discount. My tech is ok... Tanks have the 75% chance ability. The mission seems pretty impossible for me, so I need help with the mission. Alternatively, I could use the 1600 to upgrade Guderian and Konev... Its a pretty hard mission and you can expect to have to have around 4-5 of your end game generals. I would grind out all you can from campaign and conquest and then give it a god. I personally remember tho, you have to protect the Rommel that your allies have with everything you got. |

I just want to say it's not correct, crowd control and wolf-pack are not self-buffs. They only buff surrounding units.

Crowd tactics is very useful. I used on konev with level 5 with medal. and as a supportive skill, really impressed me. Only problem is it is also the most pricey skill. It works only one hex range of the general.
