Just one question...
1. When should you spend money to upgrade your tech tree, like upgrading to get the Tsar Cannon, or upgrading to get the Old Guard? The upgrade price is like 540 gold... That is NOT cheap so...

in conquest, I never upgrade my tech tree unless there are plenty to spare. it is better to spam some unit and take a city or donating to allies who are in need. now if later in the game when you are dominating I find that old guard is better

Yeah, just ignore the special units unless you have ton of resources. Old guards are op tho.
