Can some play EW4 using the given @mikhailkutuzov for experimental purposes. He is really good imo, just doesn’t really match anyone’s playstyle. I feel like he deserves more appreciation. All 4 of his skills are quite good.
Plus early on, a snail drum is obtainable.

That said, if he had Mass Fire instead of Formation he'd be a bit better

I think my biggest turn off with Kutuzov is the fact that he costs 8 emblems, and for a commander like him thats a bit much. If I want a 5 star fort commander, I'll buy Wurmser for medals. If I want a good defending Infantry commander I'll buy Wellesley for 8 emblems as well (And Wellesley at least has both leadership and Econ Master)

But kutuzov is so good at attacking units inside of cities. I agree, 8 emblems is very expensive.

He is a very interesting general to use.

But in my case, I tend to use infantry (Especially Line Infantry) to hold cities, so in my case he would be more useful on defense

All my commanders (Ney, Scharnhorst, Ushakov, Sulkowski, and Sophia) are fairly mobile on land, so now that I'm thinking of that, I could use him to blitz any enemies in campaigns

If you want, try to use him in Russia 1806 (on 3X Guards) and 1809 (on 2X Guards), he deals very good dmg (high 30s to 50s, even up to low 60s).
If Formation boosts dmg of a unit with formation aka stacked units, then using Kutuzov on inf is still a good deal, given his 3 hex movement.
He moves as fast as cav, but with compulsory Geography when on inf, and hits quite hard too.
Of course, there are better options (Sophia/Döbeln with speed upgrade) and his price is high.

True, but if you are going to constantly attack with him, as his health will be whittled down, he loses effectiveness. (Assuming he doesn't have the snare drum) In that case, a Lannes with upgraded movement would be better on attack

I have definitely enjoyed his company in those conquests. When fighting him, he scares me more than Suvorov. Russia definitely has some of the best infantry generals.

This actually sounds like a lot of fun. I’ll try it in Summer. Even funnier would be to get a general like Jackson and beat the game with him
