I have Karl and Massena as my infantry generals, and Blucher and Murat as my Cavalry generals (i have Lan, but she's not necessary for this discussion). So my question is, who should i get first? I want to get Barclay, but i also want 3 cavalry commander generals just mowing down enemy units like it's nothing. Also, i have 1 artillery general, so i'll probably get Alexander next. Asking because i want to know which would be more beneficial. Or maybe i'll just buy sakurako just the lolz.

if you want a hard hitter I would say dabrowski, you dont even need to upgrade him and he hits hard, while barclays dmg is strong when in pressence of messena or karl. also it seems you have 2 of the hardest hitters in the game, Murat and blucher, and so I would get barclay first as messena and karl could use more help on missions from the buff.

Heh, but i'm not an artillery fan, so i'll make it a 3-2-1- lineup before i get Alexander I.

It’s damage is around 75% of infantry, but it recieves no retaliation attack most of the time. It demolishes naval and fortress units. If you get one rocket artillery general (Mahmud or Alexander) and one city demolisher (John), you will get the most out of it imo. But everyone has preferences.

And since artillery units don't get retaliation, you don't need to bother giving them healing items, and just give them all the attack items and just position them well. I love artillery in EW4, but infantry and cavalry are just superior in terms of usefulness.

Thanks for the suggestion guys ! i decided to buy Verhuell. He's a beast so far, one of the best endgame generals, also a general used in the best unit in this game, which is navy. Wonder why a lot of people think he's garbage.

Mahmud and Alexander I together hit harder than Massena and Karl on rocket artillery

Barclay is only good if you have massena and karl, and only as a second grenadier. He can also be replaced by washington or lannes or wellesley ,even clinton , for 3rd infantry spot. Dabrowski is better since he is a cheaper murat and with ney or davout as second cav, he is only a duke but with cav medal he can reach level 5. For infantry focused teams with art and cav support, barclay is indispensable. For balanced team with slight preference to infantry he can be replaced. For balanced teams with slight preference to cavalry,if you have blucher, you can pick between murat and dabrowski and have a davout or ney (maybe lan, but she cant be dismissed without permanent consequences), in third cav. Without blucher, you can get murat and dabrowski and a davout or ney, or golitsyn . In cav focused team, dabrowski is as important as blucher and murat, so you can go dabrowski-murat with radetzky and davout , or you can buy blucher and complete the team with any 🐎 general you like.

I already have both of them, and i bought Blucher to support Easytech . Also, 5 cavalry gens will destroy anything in the way.

5 cav generals isnt just an ordinary cav focused team, how do you distribute equipment and medals? Have the 2 strongest get the ambulance and health items, the next 2 get the tent and the attack items, then either give the last general 2 medkits, or forgo metkits and give him whatever item combination (best is probably hp plus defense).
