I myself listen to anything. From Partisan/Military songs, whacky ones like Moskau Moskau, old great ones from many Rock artists, including queen, acdc, scorpion etc to some balkan folk. I really dont care what i listen to much. There are songs that catch my ear and i just like to sit and sing along but many times I just use it as enjoyable background noise, I have the issue of not feeling comfortable without it. I usually have the tv playing in the background while on my computer without even looking at it to know what is on, but I am picky when it comes to background noise as well. I want something to be played that I like. Subconsiously I listen to it though. Music has a powerful control in our subconscious mind. It's beautiful that certain chords and notes, when hit in certain patterns, is able to bring a human to tears, joy or sorrow. Music is inherently mathematical in nature, but the beauty of it is that you don't need to understand mathematics to be good at music. Also, background music probably helps you concentrate, since it can silence that internal voice that won't shut up when you're busy  . What internal voice? Yeah what internal voice? |

I dont like music with lyrics while I am playing or doing work. I prefer soundtracks, although I don't care much about EDM, it gets repetitive for me

Just chipping mine.
I love musics in general. As long as it's not get boring fast, and can be listened for hours, days, even weeks, that's my favorite songs. I have a lot, but here's some
1. Vocaloid songs. This is my main source of my most favorite songs. Especially the one that sung by Kagamine twins like Kokoro, Tokyo Teddy Bear, Suki Kirai (Like Dislike in english), and Knife
2. Falcom Team Sound jdk (you can search this on YouTube). This is a part of a game devs called Falcom, and they creates some of the most beautiful soundtracks as well as opening and ending songs such as; Ashita e no Kiseki, I Remember You, and much more.
3. Songs released in 2012-2014 era. I think this deserve a point in here. Idk why, but there's something different to songs that released at that time.
4. Linkin Park. Do I need to explain why this one is my favorite?
I think for now this should suffice.
Note: I've changed my favorite like 6 or 7 times since I discovers music 9 years ago, from English songs to Korean songs to Electronic and Dubstep songs and lastly into my birthplace Japan songs

Yeah I can understand that. I've never meet other people who have universal liking like me either. I'm more of a metal, classical music and opera type of guy. I did listen to dubstep and trapstep, so i am familiar with some of them. It's how the brain is wired at times: even if you know the music is great, it's just not something you enjoy. Although, it may eventually be something you enjoy |

While there's nothing wrong with dancing across the room, I also have the tendency to get diverted into something else. |
