Hello, I'm new to this game (European Wars 6) and I'm recently trying to learn and consume the mechanics of the game. I got most of it, but terrain's affect on the attack rate is the most confusing to me. I understand the affects of artificial bonus built by infantry as they are stated when building, so I wanna know which one of the following is correct: - When your artilery stands in a jungle, your attack rate is decreased by 5% - When your artilery stands in a jungle, your enemy's attack rate on them is decreased by 5% - When your unit (any type) stands in a jungle, your enemy's artilery attack rate on them is decreased by 5% - When your unit stands in a jungle, your attack rate on enemy artilery is decreased by 5% *Tldr* Question: What do EW6 terrains affect? Either the defense or the offense of either the unit on that hex or the unit shooting at/getting shot from that hex?

Terrain slows troops without Geography unit ability down and may reduce dmg of an attacker. For example, unit a is an arty or cav unit attacking unit b. Unit b is on a terrain with a bonus. The terrain reduces dmg b receives from a.

When you stand in a terrain, enemy units will deal less damage based on the terrain you are in. It's not that important really, since it's only 5% reduction( a blucher hitting you for supposedly 150 damage, will hit you for 143 damage, which still hurts). Terrains are useful when your unit has the terrain fighting skills, such as plain fighting, mountain fighting, etc. Also, just keep in mind that mountains and mountain ranges obstruct the movements of infantry and artillery units.
