This correct and I've seen it on Isabella more than once - she can't survive one fiering - without counterattack (she is already dead before) The noise and smoke of firing causes always a little damage at the artillery (from the hints or tutorial) Note: I couldn't find this info againNo fight without damage - at least -1 Just to complete the discussion - I noticed this effect right now with a low health cavalry general attacking a siege artillery! Although the game don't show any damage (the siege can't counterattack) my general dies by doing this attack. So it's true: No fight without damage - at least -1 - even if no damage is visible or possible. I think she died because she was in fire or it could have been a glitch.

This is a reproducable behavior! Every attack will cost you at least 1 healthpoint! Even without counterattack!

ππ³π°π΅π΄π¬πΊ, I am confused how she died? Did she died after attacking him then died on players round. Or she attacked then player clicked next turn and Calvary attacked her.

As you know I just use princess: She died during the attack - I see the damage she's dealing - and she disappears (with the white textbox) - I replayed it several times. The same effect is killing an arty general on shooting. In both cases you don't see any damage but there is one. No fight (attack) without damage!

Iβve had this happen before in battles where Iβve used S&L a ton. Try cutting down on S&L and see if it happens as often. I believe the health bug eventually depletes unitsβ health all the way down to 0; when they attack (without getting countered), they thus have 0 HP and therefore die.

My post didn't mention this (assumed) health bug. Normal generals, that just went down to (I think) 1 HP in combat: - if they attack (with or without snair) an enemy that can't counterattack, they will disappear without any (displayed) damage - Just the white testbox informs you. It is reproducible - and I noticed it on different units. You can Save and Load the game with your 1HP general as often you like... Its always the same: No fight without damage even if not displayed.

It was really a hell though Yes it looks sooo scary. But once you rush, it is one of the easier missions. The enemies practical don't move, I had no problems to finish -4 (R 14/18)

All campaigns have such alternate storylines Easytech planned even one more mission in this campaign: Dominate Europe: We've smashed European coalition forces and conquered most of territories. Remaining countries have assembled, trying to make desperate struggles. Though they've suffered great losses, we're still outnumbered. commander, if you can defeat coalition forces again, we will ascend to be the new dominator of Europe. But this mission, and a last HRE mission: Conquer the North America, never made it into the game. Maybe they were too much alternative.

To be fair, most of the U.S. population in 1821 (when North America landings takes place) still lived in the former 13 colonies, so conquering only those would make sense imo
