If I have Manstein and Guderian with both green nameplates and no upgrades except Guderian has lvl 3 Rumor, lvl 1 hill fighting and the cross, hero and legion medals, Manstein no upgrades or medals except green nameplate, who is better.

guderian will dish out more damage as his lvl one hill is buffed by legion medal as opposed to manstein's lvl 1 plain fighting. However, you should probably not be using hill fighting on guderian as it is scarce in maps. Plain fighting/ Explosives + Rumour is a better choice.

not better in damage per se as manstein can also have similar damage, but guderian is more useful as you can have rumour on him which will be a great complement to blitzkrieg

Manstein out of the box has more HP and higher level skills though, so it should also be noted that Guderian is better later but Manstein is better up front

So who should I use in invasions guderian, rumour is key to a fast win. Plus imo the damage diff isnt colossal enough for you to be choosing non rumour manstein over guderian |

still guderian as in campaigns rumour is very useful, and it can turn the tides of the game rather immensely
