It's general rule: 1st gen is almost useless as You can hire same power gen in the academy, 2nd gen is solid, 3rd gen is great. It was valid for WC series and for EW5. And to justify ET - Wellington has very high battle ability  But now we have a reverse situation (at least, it seems so). All IAP generals are better than the rest (again, at least, it seems so). And this decision to give auras almost exclusively to them is debatable. Commander in WC3 - trashy (in comparison to other skills) skill. Maybe there are some good or even better skill who knows. Moreover there is a gen You can train whatever You Wish. Let's wait a bit |

You have the game. You tell us,is it free to play?or rather pay to win? Not that I'm adversed against paying,since I already have,with ET,and probably will again. It would be nice to know, if there will be an option to maybe play casually.
It's not to pay to win. In each campaign missions, you will be given one "OP-AI" general to use for free. There is no "turn-limits" to get 3 stars. Only Primary Objectives and Secondary objective. By far haven't spend a penny on the game (for the pre-ordered only). Bought Varus and Upgraged my own "Free general". Now rolling through Spartacus uprising.
Agreed, also they give you skill upgrades for free in the new system, so it rwmoves some of the P2W |

Other generals get a damage bonus on top of other damage bonus skills, or a skill that makes damage the same regardless of HP |

I will be getting rome soon, however I don't see where the hype is other than the fact they removed the turn limit. Also I don't see EW6 as a cash grab, I finished 5th mission US with 3 stars. No IAP gens. Only clinton.

Regarding EW6,the sole moment I feel they just go too far with the difficulty is in crimean war challenge (seriously, that Siege mission... Im gonna have to grind a LOT)

I will be getting rome soon, however I don't see where the hype is other than the fact they removed the turn limit. Also I don't see EW6 as a cash grab, I finished 5th mission US with 3 stars.
