If i recall correctly, Surprise is one of the more useful skills for cav and few gens exist in tier 1 with 4 or 5* for any troop type.
Definitely a keeper from start to end until you regroup him into Lan, Sophia or whoever you want to be your endgame cav gen(s).
However, he lacks skills and other *s which hinders his survivability and output. Though 4*s out of the box is a very good deal.
I rate him 4/5 among TRAINERS.

Well, this guy should be the first general you get, without doubt. I am planning to get Picton after him.

Okay, I may need to kill more enemy units before the picture can be taken, but he is NOT an infantry trainer.
