I don’t know what his abilities do, but I have a guess:
-Siege increases attack damage when raiding cities, just like SC4, except it doesn’t include fortifications
-Counterattack is like Crossfire and Sailor in WC4: Increases damage when counterattacking
-Formation increases damage when commanding Infantry units (Just like Raider in WC4)
-Intercept has a chance of the enemy not counterattacking when commanding Infantry units (Like Guerrila in WC4)
He seems to be a pure infantry general, with apparently good skills and 7 stars for Infantry.

In regards to sertorius, he is definitely better than crassus. Is he good enough though? Maybe. You would probably be better off building your own city destroyer as the free general you are given.
But otherwise, not bad at all. A jack of all trades. If only he had a different skill other than formation

Sertorius makes many changes from crassus, but none are for the better. Certainly not a bad general by any means, he isn’t Surena or Wei who are honestly just wastes of population, but he is a mistake to purchase.
Basically, in summary, he is a slow crassus with a worse talent.

The only good things are : 8 points in infantry and the percentage chance to get +15 of defense (making him a pain in the somewhere to kill) .
If I want a full defensive general I just need to get that THICC axe in the shop (fasces of power.... I don't remember right).

Probably if you want a defensive general, Ver or Bato are better. They may not have the talent, but they literally have two damage reducing skills, and bato is fast while ver hits pretty hard |

If sertorius had for 1 a different skill in infantry, I could see how he would be redeemable. If he had march and the same talent as crassus, he would be a pretty sweet alternative. He could crush archers as well as agrippa, a good defensive general, and be able to destroy cities. Imo, tunnel is meh as it only adds 5 damage per leveling up whereas siege 12, double as much

I’ll see to it that Crompey has enough substinence through drinking enough molten gold to be as good as Crassus |

Speaking of Fasces of Power, its description says that there is a "15% chance to increase defense by 100% when fighting". If this is the equipment form of Sentry the next question will be if the def stacks or if it's like Sentry (universal Shield Wall aka Defense Art). |
