We still don't know how important Navy is in GCR, and he can potentially have a solid output in the see, as well. Besides, it would be not very wise to hire only generals with Forest fighting. There are not so many Forests for all of them after all One forester cavarly, one forester archer, one forester infantry, send em all out in different directions is what I am planning on doing Not to mention shield wall and march together (a flag you get from completing missions). I am sold. Lvl 4 march and shield wall should make him pretty op

He is insanely powerful in campaign. Great survivability!

Would buying him first be a great idea (well first as in first expensive general). He has march and shield wall, which would let you put the flag you receive from daily missions to use, he seems genuinely good at everything

I am tempted to get this general, his speed can be very usefull not only strategically like kingbutawl pointed out but also tactically like to be able to outmaneuver an opponent quickly and get your infantry to the pesky enemy archers doing free/no retaliation damage to your units.

All i remember about him is that he got wrecked by Caesar, both politics and military . He was a brilliant strategist in war, but Caesar was more long sighted. Sad he lost though, maybe if he didn't, Caesar wouldn't develop his god complex, and their rivalry would be legendary.

I added Pompey to my line up and been quiet happy with his performance. Worth noting is that that the Eagle banner is free, that reward is not too hard to get and will complement this general perfectly by upgrading 2 of his skills.

With level 5 March skill (flag added) Pompey will have +6 mobility, while without flag (level 4 March skill) it is only +4 mobility. Huge difference. Together with Antony (taking into account his talent) and Free commander (who has +3 mobility as a talent) and +4 mobility from March (if added) they could make really fast and furious blitzkrieg group. Now I a little bit regret I purchased Vercingetorix and Arminius instead of Pompey and Antony earlier

I am kind of collectioner Not as mad as yuanzhong , but kind of And unfortunately it will take a long time to get Antony and upgrade Free Commander, Antony and Pompey. Just imagined Free commander with his talent (+3 mobility) with March (let's add Banner of Eagle or Chaos flag on top to have +6 mobility from March), with Military map (+3 mobility) + tech upgrades for mobility. And Forced March. This guy can cross conquest map in several turns

I completed the first era and I've played as Pompey , Pontus and Egypt in conquest 2. Then I played another 3 countries that I don't remember in conquest 3... I have Scipio , Mithridates, Pacorus I , Pompey and the Plumber. At the moment I'm upgrading Scipio in skills and I want to save up for golden spear. Then I'll give Augustus helmet to Pompey or maybe to the free general . I think I'm done with generals (even if I'd like a third cavalry) , because campaigns are all 3 stars and I don't need more guys. You know man , I find conquest boring , but I really enjoyed playing with Rome-Pompey . Now , share with me your knowledge.

You know man , I find conquest boring , but I really enjoyed playing with Rome-Pompey . Now , share with me your knowledge. Nice. I actually found conquests boring at first. Now I really like playing them as some countries are really easy, and its a good way to both get medals and train your generals. I completed punic wars as every country, and like half way done with the caesar time conquests. Barely touched the octavian one. I’d say you could probably get the golden spear really quickly. Your team is pretty solid, and a spear would be a good idea. I would probably add Pedius to your team, as he is rather impressive for 95 medals. If you grind long enough honestly, you’ll get the hang of conquest. Basically its about building tier 5 cities, putting your generals on good units, and both bribing the neutral countries that haven’t joined, and keeping the other scummy neutral countries from joining against you.
