Well, i put in another post that antony dont convince me, but i change my mind (again ) , he mobility is pretty good, attack is decent and can attack twice , he can arrival fast when you need him in another frontier, he attack is decent and have good synergy with my commander (i will put in my commander the germanicus armor), The commander with "gallic war" item is speed. Commander, Antony and pompey make the vanguard. If i you can save 2000 to invert in antony, you can make he consul and give him consul sceptre, he receive a bonus of +30% attack, obvious combined with commander germanicus armor, this two can arrival in any part of the when you need with a mega power ,but the principal problem of this, is very pricey, Around 2000 MEDALS. To tell the truth, I don't like any of the existing cavalry generals too much. Each of them is lacking something - speed, power, critical rate, second attack probability... Therefore I am convinced that the best cavalry general in the game is the one made with our own hands This is my solution of this problem I will upgrade my Commander to Marshal and will give a crown to him. After that I think the position of the first cavalry general in my team is solid as a rock. Thats a strong general. Has the potential to be anthony (if you give him gallic war book) and arminius at the same time. But the dangers of making your free commander general a cavarly guy is that you can get commius and pacorus really early on

Commius or even Pacorus are excellent candidates for light cavalry "hit and run" tactics. Commius could be also useful in conquests with his bonus against walls. I won't even consider to buy an expensive cavalry general until it is proven beyond all doubts that we need two tanks in GCR. If we have only one unit of elite heavy cavalry in later campaigns and no lvl 5 cities around - what on earth do we need two powerful (and expensive!) cavalry generals for? Pacorus' raid and guerrilla plus his talent are excellent for light cavalry tactic: attack - withdraw - replenish - attack.

Because it seems honestly that everything in gcr punishes you for having too many generals (a great addition I may add).

Antony remains the best gold General. He still hits hard enough . Just isn't as straight forward strong like Hannibal, but his usefulness is what makes him stay on top.

He’s probably going to be the davout of gcr once the update comes out. Remember how strong davout was before the 1812 update? Pepperidge farm remembers

After think a bit, Antony have potential to become my second cavalry gen, he dont have the critical rate of Huo, he dont have guerrilla, but he have the spirit of Usain Bolt, He can attack very hard weak enemys, take weak citys fast, in campaign, he can support others generals because he mobility, he can help to flank strong enemys and can make the final strike.
Huo is my second option, guerrilla + raid is a good combination, counterattack + high critical rate when cast oration on him, the bad things his he his more slow than Antony but have more survivability and a very strong offensive. I will give Antony a opportunity.
Antony - Speed = Utility (flank, take citys, take weak enemys, help allies in any part of the map, with luck can take enemys with the attack twice) and a moderate but good attack. Huo = High rate of crit = strong attack and more survivability.

Antony's value isn't obvious because he isn't a pure damage guy like Hannibal. Utility units usually get a bad rep in most games I play, despite being the one who contributes the most.

The best general for blitzkrieg conquests. You can complete any conquest just with him and Pompey . However he is not the best cav general in the game (but don't worry , the others are slightly better for 25/40 of damage in some cases).

Usage wise, definitely.
