Drasus is a great general for beginners, when they don't have the best equipment, only with crossbow he will do the job. When the generals are maximally upgrade and have the best equipment, Drasus cannot match the Mithridates and Octavian. I still have Drusus, and he's my usual go to guy in decisive battles. Real reason i think he's great is how less item dependent he is compared to Mithridates and Octavian. I doubt people would be giving them the best items when those items can be given to cavalry and infantry generals. I won't use him for conquest due to the lack of archer commander, but if E.T decide to release a banner that gives commander skills, then i'd be using him exclusively, with Mithridates and Octavian as back-ups. That makes sense. Inspire essentially makes him less punishing to bad play as he won't get debuffed. The AI in decisive battles is horrible, thus he's the go to guy for that. I don't really think he's better than his competition outside of that. You're not throwing your dudes brainlessly at the enemy like the AI and not having Archer Commander is a huge loss.

In the decisive battle, he is my second choice right after Attila. I keep the best items on cavalry generals so itโs a better choice than Octavian and Mithridates. If he had march or comander skill instead of hide he would definitely be the best archer general because of his talent and he would deserve to be a gold general I'm too f2p to understand your first sentence, who's Attila? But yeah, i haven't bought Caesar or Attila, so i usually use Drusus and Octavian for Decisive battles. Inspire is just too good of a talent, and we need to waste an item slot to get its effect.

True, but he carries his weight with his consistent crits. But if you are willing to swap around the crown, then Mithridates will be the go to. I'm not a big fan of constantly swapping items, so i just use drusus and see big red numbers 60% of the time with both crit items.
