Has anyone figured out what unlocked each uniform? I dont like using him much, but with the uniform I may appreciate him more

I know that he can be very powerful, its more that I dont like the blank slate the general provides. I enjoy using real generals as opposed to him. Thanks for the feedback though, I was just coming back to say how I got the armor. It looks like we will have 4 more expeditions?
