Is it better to use light cavalry and bowman for generals cause you can supply them almost in every city? I struggle to supply heavy cav and marksman cause we cant upgrade every city to level 5

I struggle to supply heavy cav and marksman cause we cant upgrade every city to level 5 Yes, better to use low tier units for Your gen for faster progress through the conquest/mission. You can easily occupy the necessary city disctrict with a specific gen and replenish same turn after city is conquered.

Or else you have to plan your route in advance... Yup. Although having light cavalry is better overall since they're faster, and they can easily be refreshed. Stronger units are great,just need to be used with caution
