My question is did we decide on GCRs Guderian or Vatutin/Messe, to what should we strive for? Some other tips for the game because It is the first easy tech game on which I am having a lot of difficulties and questions

Guderian was the best general in WC4, now IAPs are the best. So I would compare him rather to Rokossovsky or Rommel...

Tito, for IAP, just get Hannibal. If not, then just buy Pacorus. Some people don't like him because he's cheap, but he does the job done. Drusus is a great archer, and you can go for him. If you're planning on skipping bronze and silver gens, go for Pompey, then Antony, then Crassus. If you plan on making Campaign easy, then Pacorus, then Pompey, then Commius/Tiberius/Drusus, then Antony. Or you can follow Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus and go for cheap gens. Gets the job done, you can sell them back later on. Thing is, generals don't increase health or defense, and only attack. So it's a nonsense train of thought to simply ignore generals because of pricing. Pick those with great talents, and skill combinations, and you're pretty much good to go.

So which general should I purchase first? Pacorus I and Pedius are must haves. I would get Trebonius and give him a good item (ik he sucks, but better than nothing plus an item really helps), Segestes is decent for his price... Yeah you get where I am going. Buy cheap but good generals, and don’t upgrade their scrolls.
