Mahabharata: Kicking Alien's Arse with India

Well, if you are doing this conquest, you'd probably have no better thing to do. This is mainly a narrative of defeating alien invasion with India. This guide is based on How to: Kick Alien Arse so, for a detail strategy against aliens, please see european-war-4.boards.net/thread/437/kick-alien-arse.
Warning: This conquest is NOT easy and requires a significant level of artillery upgrade from HQ (though godly general and insane ion cannon are not required).
Phase#1: Attack on Tehran
This phase is crucial and the most difficult part of this conquest. Put your best artillery general in the field artillery that you have from the beginning and siege Tehran with everything you have (yes, you only have that field artillery, a commando, and anything you can build from Mumbai). I only build motorized infantry from Mumbai because its damage to alien is not that different from commando but it hits building harder and run faster so it can reach Tehran quick while avoiding alien on the way.
The destroyer you have at he beginning can be use to keep one UFO occupied (see circle)
Phase#2: Building Your Power
From Tehran, build as many rocket artillery as you can. When you have at least 4 or 5 rockets, you can start expanding to Iraq and Turkey. By the time I have my troops ready, Iraq is still fighting alien so I go take a small turkish town while waiting alien to take Baghdad. Take Baghdad after Iraq is defeated. Now you can build two rockets per round if resource permits. Focus your force to take Ankara.
Now that you have conquered Iran, Iraq, and Turkey, it's about time that other countries are defeated so you probably need to play defensive for a while. I cannot tell when and how long since that depends on how quick you conquuer this area and how long can you allies fight aliens. I leave 3-4 rocket to defend Tehran (and ready to build more if I see aliens are coming) but the aliens are still busy fighting China so there's not much fighting there. However, a horde of aliens comes from Balkan and south of Soviet so I make my stand at Ankara. So basically you need to destroy all the aliens that come toward you.
Phase#3: Expansion
Now that you have destroyed the attacking alien troops, you can expand your territory into Europe and Africa. For Europe, you can either go through Stalingrad and attack from the east or attack Balkan directly. I suggest attacking Balkan because there is an alien base next to Stalingrad and it will take more time to destroy or sneak around. Once you capture Athens or Istanbul, look around for unprotected cities. They can be easily taken with PMI; especially cities that were previously attacked by aliens would have crumbled wall, Naples for example.
Expansion to Africa is in less prority because there are not much to be captured so you can do that whenever you have spare resources.
In the meanwhile, Asian countries are mostly defeated and the aliens are marching on you with a huge troops so make your last stand at Tehran. From the picture, you can see that I give up Mumbai to alien since defending it would be troublesome. Do not expand to New Delhi because you cannot build rockets there and the reinforcement from Tehran would be too slow. So basically, just make you line of defend at Tehran where you can build rocket every round and can build more from Ankara and Baghdad if necessary.
The battle is fierce indeed.
In Africa, use motorized infantry to move around the attack range of alien base, take a city that is circled in red, and make sure you have an infantry standing in that city. The alien base will do nothing but attacking the unit in the city. One light infantry can take 2-3 hits. Now you can send your rockets to attack the alien base without any worry. I destroy it without a scratch on my rockets and you can also do the same with other alien base (except the one in France since there is no city with its attack range).
Phase#4: Conquer Europe
From Balkan, your main goal is to capture Lyon in order to get access to nuke. While marching to Lyon, send a detachment to take other European cities that are not defended. If you have a lot of rockets you can take any city but make sure that you wait for many rockets to attack at the same time so that you wont get hit back on alien's turn.
Phase#5: Mopping up Aliens
Now that you have taken Europe, it's only a matter of time that you win the conquest. I make 4 attacking routes.
1) From Lyon take Spain and go to S.America
2) Take Paris and go to N.America.
3) Take Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Then split into two. One attacks GB and join force with the route#2. Another attack Scandinavia.
4) Take Poland and Soviet. This troops will continue to attack Asia from the north and the troops in India will attack China from the south.
At this stage, you are very very rich and can basically kill all the aliens with airstrike. I use my air force general to kill all loitering aliens and nuke+paradrop cities. So once you get access to Shanghai, you would be able to conquer the rest of Asia in a few rounds. And what is left is mopping up aliens in Pacific and Australia.
