I'm thinking Hannibal is the best IAP general, considering he is a TANK. I haven't seen Caesar in action too much and Spartacus just seems like another infantry general.

I agree with the Spartacus statement. I gave caesar a movement item, now he is really strong. He sometimes has 3-4 consecutive attacks on a unit, whihc absolutely shreds its health with no retaliation.

They all seem pretty equal to me tbh, all equally powerful.
Spartankicks is good because you generally group up inf more, and Czar gets to attack without retaliation. Handlebar just annihilates everything in front of him.
None of them are "bad buys" in that one is decisively better than any other, I think whichever you like most is suited to your playstyle.
Conventionally people will tend towads Handball, as he is the fastest and the pick for aggressive, bold movements.
Sportacus and Kaiser play more slowly, true, but both have their day as well, as they can make more use of group attacks and have their own niches.
Personally I would get Spaghettisauce because I made mt Commander a cav general, so i need an inf leader, but the argument can be made for any of the three.
I suggest playing some, maybe try a campaign with the different generals and see which one suits you the most!

Actually, after obtaining all 4 Armor types our Commander will buff all types of units regardless his own unit type. You can experiment with his current uniform type and see that bonuses are there even if the Armor is off...

Sort of a pick 2 out of 3, make the free general the other unit type of situation if you want to save money.

Who knows how long that will take. We might only get gold for the expedition, and only chose one uniform for the conquest of europe.

From my experience Pompey is a better infantry general than him.
